An I-TEAM source said the mother and father were shot. It remains unclear how the 11-month-old baby died, but a source said she suffered from possible smoke inhalation and had an injury to her forehead.

Homicide detectives were notified after firefighters discovered three bodies inside the home.

Sgt. David Smith previously said investigators suspected foul play, but noted there were no signs of forced entry. He added that the soot made it difficult to look around inside.

Family members make plea for answers in December triple murder
"JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A family is making what they said may be a final plea for answers in an Arlington triple murder.

A little more than 10 months ago, an Arlington neighborhood was rocked when a young family — Quasean Trotter, his fiancée Ariyan Johnson and their 11-month-old daughter, Arielle — were found dead, burned inside their home."

“This is not just my granddaughter that died. This is my great-granddaughter, a baby, an innocent baby, not just one shot,” said Mario Peterson, Johnson’s grandfather. “This was just one left to die and to suffocate. I can just imagine what she went through."

Johnson’s grandparents said they’re making what may be their last plea to the public for answers, because Mario Peterson is a civilian employee with the Navy and is being transferred to Germany.

“This is my last prayer: I’m asking for help. Please,” Mario Peterson said."

“This is an unsolved murder. It is a cold case. This was a tragic time. This is a very tragic time for the simple fact that this was committed before Christmas. And it devastates us,” he said.
He’s asking anyone who may have any information to come forward.

“Let’s break this code of silence. We can do better as people, as American citizens, as people. Jacksonville can do better. I believe in us. I’m born and raised here. We are great people when we stand together and stand up for no more. That’s what we need to do in our life. Say no more. No more senseless crimes. Let’s do better,” Peterson said.

Anyone with information in this case is asked to call the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office at (904) 630-0500. To remain anonymous and possibly be eligible for a $3,000 reward, call First Coast Crime Stoppers at (866) 845-TIPS.''
