I am opposed to DP so if LWOP was the only other sentence choice then am glad he got that instead, I am also not comfortable with LWOP as a sentence but if all their is available is DP or LWOP then the latter is the better of the two for me.

The older I get the more liberal I get, the more I see the faults within the judiciary as a whole and the discrimination and unfair way the law is often applied the angrier I get.

I live in UK so LWOP is very rarely given as a sentence and we seem to be doing ok IMO.

Can I ask why the baby is listed as Daemon Carn? I have a CPS report listing him as Daemon Scott

My guess it was a mistake/mix-up made by the person who started the thread, I've changed the title now. (There was another case in the same city and at the same time where a young man with the name of Daemon Carn was murdered.)

On 13 June 2023 the District Court of Appeal of the State of Florida affirmed the sentencing of life in prison without parole for Calib Scott for the murder of his son Daemon in 2019.

On 14 August 2022 Stephanie Holly was sentenced to 12 years in prison, she pleaded no contest to neglect of a child causing great bodily harm, failure to report child abuse/neglect and culpable negligence exposure to injury as part of a plea agreement, in the death of her son Daemon.
