Any info on his state of mind, people he's been hanging out with, new friends, etc?

Prayers that this is resolved soon with a positive outcome.

Lincomfelt's wife, Karen, and her children are pounding the pavement, passing out fliers about the missing husband and father.

WESH 2 News was with the family in New Smyrna Beach, where Lincomfelt worked Monday, but the three and other relatives have been all over Volusia County because they said Lincomfelt would never deliberately disappear.

Police confirm Lincomfelt finished, left the job and spoke to his wife about 12:30 p.m. telling her he'd be home in Jacksonville close to 3 p.m.

Lincomfelt missed his daughter Cali's birthday Monday, something loved ones said is completely out of character for him.

His phone goes to voice mail, and there's been no activity on his bank account and no sightings of his maroon GMC Sierra pickup with a North Carolina tag of FJ5026.

Karen Lincomfelt said the couple was not having problems.

"Everybody keeps asking me that, and we don't even argue so it's not like, there's nothing there," Karen said.

His wife told WESH 2 News that Lincomfelt did battle some depression, but it was back in 2013.*

She said there have been no signs of trouble since.

There was a ping at 11:30 pm Monday night 5 minutes away from the house. He was reported missing around 3:30 on Monday day afternoon. Then the wife said it was possibly a false ping. Does anyone know exactly what that would mean? I'm not a tech person but is a ping not like a connection...if you flip a light switch it comes on and is connected. If the ping was registered then the phone had to be on and connect to a tower, or am I totally off base here?

This is an interesting article on the fallacicy of pinging the location of a cell phone.

Extremely interesting!! So really the only thing that can be said for the ping is a possible time stamp that the phone connection was made but certainly (according to the article) the location is guesstimated at best. Still, very interesting and certainly a ray of hope that the phone came on.

he was due home at 3 and wife reported him missing at 3:30? apparently prior to that she & her daughter were texting him but he never responded to texts ... and wife looked him up on life360, which I don't know anything about but appears to be a mapping/tracking app

also it was daughter's birthday

I think he's missing of his own volition and the history of depression is worrying

I feel as you do. I am not familiar with that area but find it hard to imagine that a vehicle has not been discovered in some form or fashion. Hopefully our thinking is correct and this would mean that it is possible they will find him safely. Depression is a real and horrible disorder and it doesn't discriminate.

There was a false ping, but it was not the one that was at 11:30, that was double verified.

So, there was another ping other than the 11:30pm on Monday night?

Anyone in Jacksonville area that can help search tomorrow (pass out flyers, etc) we will be meeting at 7:30 am at the Williams Walk Condo Club House in Bartram Park, Jacksonville. Going to be an overwhelming day as Savannah's remembrance service is also tomorrow.

Was any new information announced today at the search meeting, Camdenres?

Oh, this is gut-wrenching! So crushed for this family. The link below is not new, but I want to bring out a few quotes by his wife, Karen.

http://www.actionnewsjax.com/news/l...rs-cellphone-pinged-5-min-from-home/587702916

"...It's been terrible. I can't eat. I can't sleep. My kids are all just tore up."

"...He's a very good husband. He's a very good father. He's a very easygoing man and would help anybody..."

Sounds like he would have been the type of person who might have stopped and offered to help a stranger stranded on the side of the road.

Could that have happened? Wonder if there were any reports of a vehicle stopped on the side of the road during the time?

If he did stop, everyone's heard though of those situations sometimes being a set-up for robberies, car-jackings, and kidnappings. He could be who knows where by now?

I so hope that his missing flier has been distributed to every LE across the country to be on the lookout for his truck.

Even if he is being held against his will, I hope he is safe and will find a way to return home.

His poor family. What a nightmare! Their whole world blown to pieces - and on his daughter's birthday at that. Talk about pouring salt in the wound. All her life now THIS will define her birthday...

What a horrible situation. My heart goes out to all of them...

My husband said that they need to check for any delays or accidents that may have caused him to take an alternate route- then drive that route. Frequently accidents on 95 cause major delays- and people switch to another route- I imagine he was somewhat in a hurry- due to his daughter's birthday

I really wish there was more information available in this case. And if *I* feel that way, I cannot imagine how desperate his family feels right now.

New to the community but aware of this case from Facebook. Calvin's wife has just posted he has been found safe.

"Praise the Lord! We have found Calvin Lincomfelt safe. We need prayers." is what she posted. No other info right now. His wife is a friend of a friend of mine.
