Court is back in session. Out of the first group of 100 potential jurors, judge is calling back 53 of them.

Tweet is wrong, this is a new group of 50. They will be asked about hardships and pre trial publicity like the previous 100 jurors. Geez, this is taking forever.

This is Florida, not AZ. :blushing: The jury will stay until 5:00, sometimes after if something needs to be finished up. One good thing you can say about the courts here, they at least work full days/weeks.

No kidding...never heard so many excuses in my life. I started watching first thing today...excuse after excuse and left came back later in afternoon...still getting excuses. I heard one had kids and grandkids, one had work project...on and on. Just not sure we are really getting a jury of anyone's "peers". One came back...employer will pay...bingo you are on. You can just tell when one comes up and wants to be on the jury. I think there is alot of lying going on.

Schenecker jury selection proves to be challenging

"There's no doubt in my mind that she shot her children, and that she's guilty of that crime," said prospective Juror 20, who was ultimately dismissed. "It may not be first degree murder, but this is a first degree murder trial," he said.

When asked to stand if they had at least heard something about the case before today, nearly nine out of 10 prospective jurors got up.
