She completely ignored the pills she had that were "normal".
Amoxicillin, which is an anti-biotic...why would she not take THAT?
There had to be a reason it was prescribed (infection, bronchial maybe. My son took that when young a lot for croupe and such).

EDIT- Or any type of infection really.

Perhaps used infection to obtain pain meds?

I'm sure even if she wasn't taking all those pills at the same time, that cycling in and out of consuming one or several whenever she felt like wasn't good for her either mentally or physically. Her pill box makes Valley of The Dolls look like a Disney film in comparison.

I don't agree about her being clearly out of her mind. Also, LE had to read her the miranda warning otherwise any statement will not be admitted. She freely made statements.

At that point (when she was taken to the police station) she was asking if the children would be coming later...and she was high as a kite.

Yes, of course the police had to read her the miranda rights, but they should have put her into a holding tank long enough for the effects of the drugs and alcohol to wear off. And then read her the miranda rights and questioned her. The result would have probably been the same -- she'd have probably admitted everything (unless she lawyered up) -- and even if she didn't admit it verbally, there was already plenty of evidence that it was a planned murder (journal, buying gun, etc.)

It probably won't matter one way or the other, in terms of finding her guilty.

Just MO....

I don't know why but there is something super creepy about her wheeling her daughter around dead in the office chair.
It almost seems comical, which it is NOT. Therefore, CREEPY.

I'm surprised she didn't go into cardiac arrest with an overdose before the crime was committed by mixing opiates, anti psychotics, benzos, muscle relaxants, and the spritzers. Over dosing was clearly in her future. Imo

Yesterday it was mentioned she planned to over dose since gunshots messy. :seeya:

I missed that, what happened? They were not asked to leave were they?

Just got here so Good Morning Everybody!

I picked up where I left off so I apologize if this has already been answered. The Judge (outside the jury's presence) addressed both parties attys and told them both Col and NS could remain in the court throughout proceedings as long as they abided by the rules of the court blah, blah, blah. I thought the complaint had to come from JS's family and/or lawyers. Small wonder the Colonel and his mom are sitting as far away from Julie's family as possible.

State trying to show that the pills were not overtaken? Def may say she was insane because she wasn't taking her meds. hmm #JulieSchenecker

Or defense may simply use the rather large number of anti-psychotics she was taking (whether over-dosing, under-dosing, or taking as prescribe) to indicate that her doctor(s) clearly thought she was mentally ill.

She probably couldn't carry the daughter to her bed -- so used the chair. (She'd wanted to put the son into his bed, but wasn't able to lift him). Covering up both children, and tucking the daughter into bed, shows remorse, perhaps trying to cover the hideousness of what she did, and perhaps wanting to return the children to a younger age (when they were more compliant) when she was still able to tuck them in -- all creepy, of course, but it does show some sense of remorse.

Looking at her face now -- her awareness of her horrific actions have clearly taken their toll in the past 3 years.

I don't think an insane person would feel remorse. That won't work in her favor. imo
