Not from PA but I have to throw in Tastykakes!
They used to sell them here in MI at groceries, now they do NOT.
I order them online for my Grams sometimes (She is from MD).

First I've heard she was taken to ER? Why?

From Wiki-

Police arrested Julie Schenecker at the scene, later that day she was admitted to hospital for a "pre-existing medical condition". She was released the next day and taken to Hillsborough County Jail, where she is being held without bail.

Schenecker double homicide - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Off to look for more info.....

ETA- She remained in the infirmary after returning to jail, and Carter declined to elaborate on the nature of her medical condition. http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2011/02/08/julie-schenecker-did-this-mom-kill-her-kids.html

MI or working the court.........???
I think this is what makes the trial so very interesting.:scared:

I'm kinda leaning to both. There is no doubt she is ill, but there's a little part of me that thinks, (and I'm bi-polar myself), she's manipulating others by using her illness as a crutch. Not only that, she does seem to be afraid of reality and the truth, so in her head she could justify manipulating others and the court with it.

The things she's done and the way she acts regarding the things she's done are so contradictory it's bizarre.

Hopefully this makes sense.

Just my :twocents:

Seems to me a woman who is 'very' satisfied with the chosen jury is cognizant enough to understand the meaning of that stipulation.

Native to Central PA here - Middlesworth Potato chips are what I miss most. Hoagies a very close second and Snyders Cheese pop corn a close third.
Down here in FL we have "subs" - not the same at all.
Also the Pepsi tastes different up there compared to down here. It's better up there. It's the water.

They have a version of those, and so many more varieties of snack cakes!
If I lived in an area that carried them it probably would not even be a big deal, but since I can NOT get them...I want them!

ETA- The are like the Hostess or Little Debbie of the East Coast area around PA

2nd ETA- OMG and UTZ chips...I forgot about those!

Was she ever charged for the auto accident?
She and the other driver were hurt.

That same month, Julie was cited for careless driving after rear-ending another vehicle. Both drivers were injured, and Julie "showed signs of drug impairment including dilated pupils with no reaction to light (and) mush-mouthed speech," according to the traffic report. She was taken to a hospital but discharged before an officer could arrive for a blood draw.

The LE interview was powerful and I sensed an almost audible "aha'' moment from the detective when it was revealed that JS as an MI officer had conducted nearly 100 interrogations herself. I believe he knew that she was capable of ''leading'' the interview and he had to 'watch' her on many levels and be mindful to keep her on track.

Last O/T, promise!

You can pretty much get *anything* delivered if you are willing to pay.
Amazon has "foods of..." from a lot of places (Even snack baskets with regional favs).

(Hanging head...) I don't think I can locate St. Louis BBQed ribs or chicken (with BBQ sauce).

But maybe I can make them! :blushing:

I believe he knew that she was capable of ''leading'' the interview and he had to 'watch' her on many levels and be mindful to keep her on track.

And she did go off track, but whether that was deliberate or due to the fact that she was impaired is impossible to tell. My impression is that she was being as honest as she could, and I don't know exactly why I feel that way...maybe because she was so messed up and clearly knew she was busted. No matter how messed up she was from MI and drugs (including booze), she knew she wasn't getting out of this one. So she's clearly not stupid.

I also want to add that the detective treated her with respect, from what I heard--will review the interview tonight since I missed a lot today.
