If she didn't know it was wrong, why did she lie when she bought the gun?
Good point. I'm really on the fence here, so discussing the facts helps a lot.
She lied about the reason for buying the gun. So we can assume she lied because she didn't want to tell them she was planning on killing her children, because they then wouldn't sell her the gun if they knew that.
The doctor claims she lied because she felt that the gun shop guy wouldn't understand her reasons..but that again shows she is having conscious thought about what others would think/say/do.
So this does prove that she knew it was wrong on some level. I think if she were really psychotic, she wouldn't have rational thoughts at all.
The doctors have said that psychosis comes and goes, so if that's the case, wasn't she still planning the murder of her children if one of those off moments was when she was purchasing the gun?
The gun shop guy said she appeared normal and not delusional. If she were delusional, would he be able to tell?
