Dr. S received a number of medical records from many hospitals, received police report, JS's confession, email communications between family members, etc.

Dr. S visited JS at Tampa Gen, then 8 times in the jail to conduct psych eval - clinical interviews, from Feb. 9 (first time in jail)

JS's status at time of first visit in hospital was Lithium toxicity and Cuomodin overdose. In process of detox. Extremely shaky, confused, in and out of confusion. Part of the time she was lucid enough to discuss things, other times in state of confusion. Later, she did not remember meeting Dr. Solomon

Dr. Solomon conducted psychological testing to determine JS's state. Dr. S says the purpose of testing is to form an opinion of her state of mind, along with talking to other people (family, friends, etc.) to put the "pieces of the puzzle together, slowly, over time"

The tests she conducted included the PAI (Personality Assessment Inventory) -- also used by 2 of the other experts in the case (later)

The psychologist saw #JulieSchenecker 2 days after this incident and a total of 9 days

She also conducted the "Trauma Symptom Inventory" and Sentence Completion test and Mental Status test. Also did a Desossiative Experience test. Dr. S said that she's in a dissosiative state a lot -- in a "fog" a lot of the time.

JS was on suicide watch in the infirmary of the jail, wearing a suicide gown, just a bare cot without sheets or blanket, no glasses, etc. The first 3 times Dr. S saw her at the jail, she couldn't have her glasses.

On 4th interview (3rd time they met in jail) when JS was able to have her glasses, they completed the testing.

Dr. S said the first time she saw JS, she was still in shock.

6 or 7 of her interviews were in the infirmary

Dr. S had hundreds of pages of JS's previous mental health records. They documented a diagnosis of Bipolar Type 1 with psychotic symptoms.

Dr. S explains that there's 2 kinds of Bipolar disorder, which is one of the more serious psychiatric illnesses. She said Bipoloar has manic episodes (high energy, impulsive) and depressed episodes (mind feels weighted down, no interest in activies or in engagement with others). JS had very high highs and low lows.

Dr. S said there's often a genetic component to bipolar, and that Julie had a family history of what was probably biopolar.

Dr. S said she's treated a lot of psychotic people. She said a lot of people with bipolar disorder are in a lot of emotional pain, and they drink alcohol and take pills to make them feel better -- to self-medicate -- she said it's very common.

A lot of people in deep depression have body symptoms -- (headaches, GI issues, etc.)

Dr. S said her diagnosis of JS is Bipolar 1 disorder w/ psychotic features

Her history of mental illness began in adolescence. Bipolar diagnosed many times by many psychiatrists in many different hospitals in Europe and U.S., including Walter Reed Hospital. National Inst. of Mental Health (inpatient for 9 months; part of a study)

Just getting here.
When stream loaded and all I heard was the voice I thought JS was on stand
This lady sounds like her! (sounded a bit muddled and has a cadence that reminds me of JS interrogation tapes).

And just now, when she got interrupted...OMG I had a flashback of Alice LV.
She did NOT like being stopped in her dialogue, and she was making eyes at the jury, like Alice used to.
I am gonna enjoy States turn with her I am thinking.....
