In general, her condition has been deteriorating as the years go by. Family members also, just like the medical records, describe things getting worse and worse.

Interesting to note - long term use of anti-psychotic medication can cause loss of brain volume.
So then the question is - is the patients condition deteriorating due to disease or due to brain shrinkage due to medication?

This hasn't been in testimony, I find it interesting. moo

So what did the doctor say that ground the whole thing to a halt?

Fascinating. Also -- anti-psychotic meds can trigger onset of new psychiatric symptoms -- will find that study if time

may seem petty and off topic but does anyone else find it odd about the statement earlier today regarding acknowledgement of CS's 16th birthday??? I would want further amplification on that like what did PS do that day and where was he what did he do for the birthday (((am just curious that's all - one parent as we all know may do the fetching of birthday cake, presents etc and it is of course a card signed by both parents - why didn't he cover it? if for no other reason than to spare his daughter's feelings))

I think it may be the same kind of thing like defense did with the email they hadn't read.
Both pros and def may be questioning the doctor to determine if what part of the testimony is relevant, is hearsay, is not hearsay or is hearsay with an exception.

Did this doctor say that filicide happens 95,000 a year here in the U.S.? Is he trying to make it sound rather commonplace? IMO it is the worst thing you could do to your child...

Does anyone know who the State's rebuttal witness is?

This may have been answered, just catching up.
He said 95,000 in the last 32 years.

I think he said something like 3000 a year average?

Thanks for clarifying Nymeria!!! I thought we are too busy for court. We're too busy killing each other. Three thousand is still 3,000 too many.

Dr. Myers: Brain scan was clear, though #JulieSchenecker "continued to hold that belief for a time."

NOT at all uncommon for folks with such afflictions. It is incredibly hard to accept your mind just does not work like other peoples'. Again friends, I am not excusing JS at all, but I have been there both by myself and with my beloved ex-husband and I can tell you: mental illness is HORROR. Perpetual horror. :(

seems like no one bothered to think 5 or 6 meds interacting may have had something to do with her behavior?

And, I would love to see her computer and bookshelf.
