Calyx overheard her mom tell someone on the phone she didn't love her #JulieSchenecker

Isn't this hearsay, double hearsay, or even triple hearsay?

Independent diagnosis: Bipolar Disorder w/ Psychotic Features

Every time he's seen her, she's had "thought walking" -- which is quite common with Schizophrenia.

When she's been maximized in her treatment, with best combo of meds, she seems very high functioning.

Beginning in 2001 until arrest, references in medical notes of delusional thinking, hallucinations, thought disorder.

First time, in 2001, had a delusion of a brain tumor while in NIMH. While at National Inst. of Mental Health - had magnetic currents to stimulate brain. After getting this treatment, began to exhibit signs of mania, which led to psychosis.

It took them months and months to get her stabilized at NIMH

They took her off her meds initially at NIMH. In treatment for 9 or 10 months. Developed Paranoia and developed mania. For awhile, she had to be put into seclusion multiple times to control her treatment.

No substance abuse problems mentioned during this time.

NIMH diagnosed her with Bipolar Disorder with Psychotic Features.

While listening to this Dr, just wonder if PS knew about her illness, he could have helped...I think he would have tried given more information. She blocked that..should doctors be given more leeway to be allowed to give family members info?

"tip of the iceberg" evidence is only a glimpse of the facts ((according to this Dr.)) as revealed during psych visits....symptoms communicated by JS

Typical manic behavior - racing thoughts, poor judgement, engaging in dangerous or reckless behavior, not needing much sleep, involved in goal directing behaviors

She had a manic episode in 2006-2007; thought she was going to invent something to do with UV sterilization, etc. Grandiose thinking. No background in fields where she wanted to do inventions.

She went on spending sprees - one time in Maryland, she spent something like $10K on something like Amway or a pyramid scheme. Would gamble when she was in a manic state, believing she would win.

I want to invent stuff too so I can quit working and go sailing on fancy cruises. I want to eat King Crab at 10:30 pm.

Another observation:

Drug Rehab vs. Psychiatric Hospital

Rehab has an end date.
In-patient psych. treatment can go on for a looong time.

JS knew this and this is why she agreed to rehab. She knew she would be out sooner. moo

In mania, you believe you can conquer anything, do anything. In depression, you have low self-esteem, feel a failure, feel worthless.

JS tried to escape from NIMH -- even though she was a voluntary patient. Lost ability to understand reality.

20 different references to psychotic symptoms between 2001 and 2010 -- delusions, hallucinations, disturbed thinking, thought blocking, tangental speech

Tangental speech - discussing a topic, and they go off on a tangent that has nothing to do with the point being discussed
