Question: Florida can only do first degree charges with a grand jury right? These two have first degree charges right? Does that mean that there was a lickity split GJ decision? How did this one move so fast, or are their other ways to do first degree with a child that does not require grand jury to make that charge?

 but talking about GJ and how long it takes in the Sievers case, and someone brought up how fast this one went to first degree.

Maybe because they'd already been charged with neglect with future charges? Casey had a grand jury indiict her for muder, and she was out on bond.

I'ver been looking at Chance's pictures, and it looks like there is a red mark on his nose, and a bruise (?) on his left chin in the photo in the plaid shirt. Also he has a cut near his right eye that looks like a fingernail could of done it in another photo that was taken in front of a car. It's not there when he was born. Also in the photo of Chance sucking his thumb, look down at his legs. The right knee looks bruised and the left inner thigh looks like a pretty bad rash.

State was warned baby Chance's mother may have been misusing opiates

From your link:

Bury said Walsh then pressed a pacifier into his 7-week-old sonÂ’s mouth until the infant began bleeding, according to the unredacted arrest report.

Walsh then allegedly took Chance into a bathroom, the arrest report states. He came out a short time later and told Bury that there was a diaper wipe in ChanceÂ’s throat.

“Kristen Bury noted that Chance was turning blue when he was brought out of the bathroom,” the arrest report states. “Attempts to remove the diaper wipe were done, and after extreme measures, the wipe was removed by Kristen. Kristen stated that when removing the diaper wipe from within Chance’s throat, trauma to Chance’s mouth occurred.”

Trauma to Chance's mouth and throat. Walsh takes Chance into the bathroom. Something feels off but I hope I'm wrong.

I wonder what the argument was about. Was Chance throwing up from previous head trauma and this is why the pacifier and wipe were pushed into his mouth?

Where's the cussing thread again? :maddening:

I'm now confident that neither of these people will ever live in society again. They'll be lucky if they don't get the DP.

And we haven't even seen the autopsy report yet. :( Heinous, awful people.

MsMarple, I pray you are wrong as well. Still heartbroken over Ellorah Rose.

I wonder how the case worker feels about their name not being redacted on that report?

I don't. That is between them and the news org that published the reports.
