Re the mother: For the most part (and in almost every post) the comments are based on MSM reports and police documents...not a lot of FB carp, etc. We'd be sticking our heads in the sand if we did not state the obvious: This woman simply did nothing to protect her child. In fact, she did a number of things that helped lead to this conclusion. IMO, if we don't discuss this stuff...if we pretend the emperor is dressed all purty...if we don't point out the emperor is jaybird nekkid...then we are just helping to sweep it all under the rug so that it can happen again. This is not a perfect world. Bad people are out there, and bad things happen. We have to help ensure that those that cannot protect themselves are protected by their caregivers. THAT is why all the discussion about the mother; and I feel it is extremely important. AND: There are two more little ones in that household. Two more potential victims if something does not change.

Re the perp: One of those MSM reports (the latest associated with the need for finding the stroller) quotes a former prosecutor who states that even though they have the perp in custody, it's not a slam-dunk case right now. :( Of course anyone who has heard the name Caylee Marie Anthony should know that, I guess. The mother's changing story and some of the b/f's comments are certainly not helping matters one bit. Fast forward to a trial: The defense will have a field day with them. They are not helping the case against the perp one bit.

I am one of the biggest bleeding hearts out there...BUT my heart bleeds on the side of the innocent victims who have to put their trust in those whose job it is to care for them. That goes for courts, judges, teachers, doctors, and yes, most importantly, parents. So when you've read everything we've read from MSM and LE about the behavior of this mother, you'd better believe that I for one am going to jump up and down pitchin' and fittin' over her behavior and expect the proper penalty(ies) to be enforced; and I will fit and pitch to ensure those other babies are protected.

Can anyone who has read MSM and LE reports honestly say that those two little ones are safe with the mother? If so, please explain, because I surely do not see it.

Actually, he has an ex-wife whose 16-year-old daughter is missing.

she is not missing. The 2012 runaway poster on one site has not been taken down/updated. She ran away in 2013- and alert was cancelled- as she was found. Information is in thread 1

As long as you can link it, you can post it. If your conclusions lead you beyond what's been officially reported, they don't belong in this thread.

I walk about my days now...with this horrid image of a 56 year old creature attracted?...lustful?...for a CHILD?

I can't, will never rationalize understanding of the evilness. It serves no justice for me to even go there. But...there is no room in our society for the worst scums, such as these, to continue to walk in our midst. We needa be tough, vocal...NO second chances.

I'd love to be in Florida right now...lookin for that stroller.

And I try very very hard to stay "within links," as are most of us, I'm proud to be able to say. Unfortunately, this case is giving us way way too many "linkable" things, I'm afraid. Nothing cut and dried about this one. Sigh. (Insert "one of the most heartbreaking cases in a long time" emoticon here).

Stroller's probably in the same body of water where Cherish was found...

And whew, glad the ex's daughter is safe - I about had kittens, thinking Smith had another potential murder victim there.

I do feel very greasy in the stomach, thinking of a young girl living in any house that man dwelled in, though.

I'm glad you did that because my DDIL has long dark hair and will be here this weekend. I didn't want to have to meet her at the door with, "Here...put this on and bend over!" lol

If she is like my daughter she will just do it without questions lol. They get use to the weird request. I have called and asked her the weirdest things.lol

Pardon if this was already posted, but I just came upon it.....

I think this is a newer video

http://www.firstcoastnews.com/news/local/story.aspx?storyid=317965

It's worth watching!

It's strange to me that the boyfriend refers to the alleged murder by his first name!!! DONALD!!!

"When Rayne's back was turned in Walmart and busy looking at clothes, and this came from some of the people at Walmart, Donald talked Cherish into following him to McDonald's," said Pearson.

Version 3) People at Walmart witnessed Donald talking Cherish into going to McDonald's. Mom knows nothing. Except cheeseburger.

And....yeah, kinda weird how he refers to him by first name.....

I thought the EXACT same thing!

The other thing that stuck out to me was the no tears. No tears from her mother or from her mother's boyfriend, and no red eyes like there had been tears before.

Well, that answers the question someone had earlier, Pearson IS the father of the other two.

They look like little angels, don't they? Seeing their sweet little faces and hearing them sing just broke my heart.

Interesting. Compare this account of what happened in WM with the mother's account to police and her initial account to the media (with some variations in subsequent media reports). And of course, this is the boyfriend's account as told to him by others.

So, according to this account, WM employees heard the perp talk Cherish into going to McDonald's with him? This is the first we've heard of this, is it not? Does anyone recall a MSM or LE report stating this?

Also, interesting that he made sure to broadcast what the biological father said.

Also, the mother is described in this video as his girlfriend...not spouse, partner, mate, live-in, but girlfriend. Therefore, the opposite of girlfriend is...boyfriend. So I'm not sure why there's flack for calling a boyfriend a boyfriend.

Final thing I note: This report states that the b/f is the father of the two younger children. I believe that was something that was questioned at some point.

And we wonder why child trafficking keeps getting brought up. He took her into a dressing room, Rayne has no objection, he leaves the store with her, no objection. Sadly I think Cherish had suffered this scenario before. :(

My heart just breaks for Billy, the more that comes out in the news the worse it has to be for him. I hope he can keep it together while he's in FL, he can't bring his little girl back but I'm sure it's pretty tempting to rid the earth of R & A. I just can't even imagine. I know his past troubles keep getting brought up, but he's starting to look like an angel in comparison.

Something along the lines of

Until youve carried a child and had her murdered dont judge me..

Can anyone tell me what was screamed at the vigil in the video?
Reporter said something about R feeling like people in the community
are blaming her, then I could hear someone screaming something, but
couldn't make it out

thanks!
