I am watching the Law and Crime livefeed. They aren't showing the photos they are talking about. Is that normal? I guess I thought we'd see the van photos and stuff they are discussing.

I watched part of the Kendhammer trial on the Law and Crime livefeed and the evidence photos were visible. I suspect it depends on the setup and technology available in each courtroom, which might vary. It sure would be nice to see what they're referring to and how the witnesses are marking the maps.

I can understand not showing photos of Cherish's body and stuff like that to a live video feed, out of respect for her and the family. But it would be nice to see the van and things of that nature. Maybe some of those will be on news sites later.

Yes, he said the orange dress Cherish was wearing (in the water) was the same as his daughter had -- can you imagine???

Hi, folks, been lurking for about an hour. I loved the word, "flamboyant" that he used when he referred to a couple of motions that DS showed. (What an azz of a ~person~ DS is. SMH.

Another dumb question since I am a trial newbie. Do they never show the jury either? I feel like in the past I've seen photos of jurys (juries?) but maybe not.

Ofc. Wilkie said that he was emotional when he was relieved of post. He knew Cherish was dead when he saw her and all he could do was stand there and protect her and the evidence her body held to be able to be used to later hold someone accountable for their crimes. #DonaldSmith

No- I have never seen the jury when the trial was in session. Maybe you might be thinking of a press conference after the trial was done?

In most states, showing the jury while the trial is in process is prohibited -- I don't know or remember about Florida, but I would assume it's forbidden as well. Dunno for sure.

I hate listening to the descriptions of poor Cherish's body. I can't imagine how hard this is for the jury to see.

Thank goodness for this morning's witnesses (and officer Henson)! Not only did they observe they acted - so often we see quotes in msm from people after the fact who are sorry they didn't call 911 at the time.

I wasn't an active member yet when Cherish's case went down but I caught up once I registered. As a relative newbie to the extensive sleuthing y'all do here at WS it was not only amazing to see but I also felt a little relieved to see others interested in true crime. Before that I felt a little macabre for following the stories. KWIM?

Anyway, DS is IMO exactly as Alexwood and the rest of you are calling it out; self-obsessed, overly confident, full of hubris, controlling (that's why he crossed his arms to the officer - he wanted to be in charge even for his own arrest!) and most of all a sick individual who should have been off the streets decades ago.

I know the defendant's criminal history would normally not be admissible or even mentioned in court but did I read here that DS had only been out of prison for 20 days? Is that correct? What was he imprisoned for? What about criminal history prior to that?
