Hello everyone,

I am new to websleuths, but came here specifically for this case. I have family in the area she disappeared, so it really hit home. In addition, I have taken care of some victims of some horrific crimes in the past, so the subject is of interest to me. I have tried to view the police photos, but only half of them will ever load (at this website - https://www.news4jax.com/news/crime/police-evidence-photos-day-cherish-was-killed ). Does anyone have a better link to the photos, or have any other info? I've perused this and the closed forum, but alot of the links are dead now. Thanks in advance for all your help!

Interesting when we look at this crime and compare with his priors. He wasn't the predator waiting for a child alone to pounce on. He created a plan that involved other people. He enjoyed it. Judging from his court demeanor I think he is enjoying every second of this trial. He is a sociopathic, sadistic, sexual predator. IMO I pray he gets death. He will replay this crime over and over in his sick mind for his enjoyment

Once he is found guilty, his past history is admissible for the penalty phase. Don't worry, it will come out at just the appropriate time.

IMHO, the jury will most likely find him guilty without his record being mentioned. The introduction of this in the penalty phase will hit them twice as hard.

I've followed the case from the beginning. I haven't been able to watch trials lately. Literally doctor's orders! I'm so grateful to everyone here who posts tweets and comments... too numerous to name without having made a list as I read the board from yesterday.

The unsolicited promise: This serves to create a quid pro quo, where the victim feels a certain debt for something done by the manipulator.
Discounting the word “no”: A manipulator who cares little for your wishes will not take “no” for an answer.

I am having a hard time with this one, as I knew I would. I keep wondering how he transitioned from burgers to rape and murder. And where. I am glad he had scratches. I hope she hurt in him places I don't want to know about. The description of her face from his gagging and suffocation is just..... unthinkable.

Baby girl. If this is hard for us to witness, I cannot imagine the hurt, fear and agony you literally felt. We will stand here with you during this trial, so you are not alone. No one saved you that night, but you now are safe, under the watch of many. Rest well, sweet child. Hopefully, he will never be able to harm again.
