I thought this might be coming.
It's all so sad. :(

Oh my...the families involved are in my prayers....how so very sad. It makes my heart break.

I played with the lighting. It is pretty obvious in this pic what side got dented 3 days before Christian went missing. Notice the denting on the door up to the window sill in the middle also.

ETA: if you keep clicking on the pic twice more after you open it- it will make it much larger ( at least it does on my computer!)

Thank you for enhancing the pic, definitely see more damage. Hard to tell what is old and what is new, but the undercarriage looks questionable. No doubt forensics along with botany experts will be able to determine the vegetation and hopefully area.

I just heard on my local fox that the charges have been upgraded to murder also.

  • #585
Asking people to check areas where they live, on Limerock roads....

That's a clue, they must have evidence already from the undercarriage of the blazer.

I can't remember the last time I cried this much. I think I felt my heart snap in half. Saying that I feel terrible for this family is an understatement. I am the oldest of 4 children. I have two younger siblings in college and the youngest in high school. If one of my siblings was ever murdered, my life would be over. I hope they can find Christian's body so that the Aguilar family can have a proper burial.

I'm so sorry gatorgirl I know you are close to this. I'm unusually drawn as well but I don't know anyone. I'm sure it's because my son is just a bit older, but my heart just hurts for these families and friends.

(((((((((gatorgirl))))))))

Hugs, gatorgirl.

My prayers for the community, all affected and the Aguilar family.

They must have blood evidence from the Blazer, or they were able to glean other evidence from his clothing found by the roommate. (but that seems a bit of a stretch)
The only other thing I can think of for the DA to approve the upgrade in charges would be a confession. It seems too soon to have any forensics back from a computer or tablet.

I hope he did just plain confess, this needs to come to an end for all.

I wonder if Christian's mom talked to him. She was planning on it, IIRC.

I hear ya Surfie, but I read an article earlier that Pedro denied any visitation from the Aguiliar family. But, that being said it might have been something LE didn't want leaked to the media.

I thought this too. Could be that he did in a way, confess... but either he doesn't know the area well enough to tell authorities where to look ...OR... he's waiting w/a lawyer perhaps to make a deal to possibly take the DP off the table if that is an option... I don't know, but thinking of possibilities...

Just feel my heart breaking for this mom.

You guys, I feel like I've posted too much and high-jacked the thread. I do apologize if that has been a problem with some. I'm a little embarrassed to be posting this, but Christian and yes Pedro have drawn me in. I really don't need a response, but just wanted to get that out there.

Travis eventually confessed to Kenia's murder, and led LE to her grave in exchange for LWOP as did Brandon Lavergne. Let's hope this is the case here.

  • #596
I was just about to post how you guys think cops found out, but I see someone already asked that. Do you think any of those details will be released?

  • #597
I do think think Pedro is weak and young on top of that. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if he confessed. I do wonder if being so new to the area and according to the timeline, (being dark) he doesn't quite remember where Christian is? He may have driven around in a panic for all we know.

But then I go back to the pre purchase of the shovel and duct tape, which makes me go back to a pre dug burial sight.

Well, I was talking to DH who lived in Gainesville for close to 20 years. His thoughts on the limestone roads. There are hundreds of miles of limestone roads in Alachua County. Limestone roads are like dirt roads just don't wash away so easily. There are old limestone quarries that are in active, but he really thinks there is no relevance or need in searching that direction. Many roads have limestone period. It's just everywhere.

This is true. I used to go horseback riding about 20 minutes away from UF and there were always limestone roads everywhere.
