Pffft. See you all tomorrow. Pleasure as always friends! :grouphug:
Thanks to all of those keeping us posted on the trial. I only got in for the last part today, while the DA was questioning Bravo. I wish the Prosecutor had been more forceful and faster to throw PB off his feet. But, turns out it really wasn't necessary. IMO, the DA did his job.
The sound was not the best on the livestream I was watching and it kept cutting out. So, I'm not certain I heard some questions and answers correctly. The very last I heard was the DA asking, "...because you're the murderer, right?" Then, it sure sounded to me like PB replied, "Right. Uh, no." PB started shifting his eyes like, "Oh, no! What did I just say?!" He seemed to be listening or waiting for another question, so I wasn't sure if the sound went out again. But, everyone started standing and leaving the courtroom.
So, is the trial over because PB confessed (albeit, accidentally)? Or does court normally adjourn at 5:00 PM? TIA!
Thanks, Jewels! But, did I hear PB correctly at the end of his testimony when the DA asked him something like, "because you're the murderer, right?" Didn't he say "right" at first and then correct his answer to "no"? I didn't really think the judge took that as a confession, but everything suddenly got quiet and PB's eyes started darting around the courtroom -- he looked really worried. And he should be. He didn't do himself any favors by testifying. There were several times during the testimony I saw that the Prosecutor asked him some variation of the question, "...because your the murderer, aren't you?" All through the testimony PB was trying so hard to keep track of his answers (thus, the eye movements) and I'm sure he was so relieved when court was getting ready to adjourn for the day, thinking he had made it through testimony without spilling the beans (at least not directly). But, if I in fact heard that last part correctly, the prosecutor finally caught him off guard.I just came back and saw your question Indy.
The court usually ends at around 5 pm ET the last couple of days they have stayed a little late.
I heard the defense say at the end they might call more witness's but they were not sure. Other wise if they don't we go to closing arguments and the judge reading the law to the jury. Then it goes to the jury to reach a verdict. I hope they get to that tomorrow.
Pedro tripped up on his words some during the Prosecution's questions. He didn't confess though.

Good Morning! I see we are in closings. So the defense didn't call anyone other than the defendant?
