An unbelievable NG!! I hope Cathy haunts his every moment! I wonder how the jury will feel when they learn it was his father who he killed previously!
Please can someone tell me where to find the info about his previous home life troubles.

I am absolutely shocked. No words. Maybe more of an analysis later.

I really thought he would receive a guilty verdict :( now he is free to kill again, about to be able to live on his own… this will not end well MOO.

I cannot imagine the chills/heartache I would experience as a juror. It feels to me that who he killed was absolutely relevant to the case. But then again IANAL.

Also says that State authorities told her to continue living with him in her house...though she was afraid.

Port Charlotte teen told deputies he would kill his mom a year before murder, documents say

was this admissible in court???? I assume no?

Oh no. This is terrible. He is so dangerous. I can't believe he is going to be back out on the streets. He has gotten away with killing 2 people and probably thinks he is indestructible. WTF.

If he kills again it’s going to be on that judge for not allowing the jury to know that he killed his father. All of the victim blaming behavior offered up by the defense was the direct result of mom knowing the type of evil that lurked inside her son, IMO. I would be so livid to learn he killed his dad if I were on that jury and the guilt and worry would eat me alive. I’m pretty outraged as it is… and I have no stake in this game. Ugh!!

I’ve been following this case on MSM and Court TV and I too am shocked by the NG verdict. Evidently the jury must’ve felt the prosecution didn’t prove their case BARD. This is sad and scary as this young man is obviously very troubled and dangerous. (I couldn’t believe all the CG smirking/smiling during trial proceedings aka duper’s delight imo).

I think the outcome of trial (NG) unfortunately might embolden him and I can only hope that he gets serious long term MH treatment/therapy, otherwise I wouldn’t be surprised if this kid turned into another B. Kohberger or similar type of mass killer.
Scary to think about his future and the future of anyone he argues with, disagrees with, or feels/perceives wronged by.

Watch out and stay safe Grandma!

RIP Cathy

Did you see that smile when the verdict was read? He won't care if she sits on the edge of his bed screaming. He only has emotion for himself.
We'll see this young man again, and probably fairly soon.
IMO.

wow I just saw the not guilty verdict. Insanity.

I guess if you're going to murder someone, head to Florida.

Murdered both his parents and still walking free.

I think this is one of those where it seems pretty surely he will murder again...

Grandma better not cross this guy. And honestly if I were grandpa I'd relocate a few time zones away and get a new identity.

Absolutely devastating for the memory of Catherine... all those character attacks on her helped the defense. I'm shocked.

So now what? He goes back to working at Domino's? I don't think he has the capacity to function with other human beings in a workplace.....

How is it self-defense if he pulled her inside?

Self-defense for past events?

Jury will be bowled over when they learn about his dad.

Me, I'm just stunned.

The investigation into his father’s death in OK is ongoing.

NOT GUILTY: Collin Griffith acquitted on all counts related to the death of his mother

I watched back to the verdict being read.

The looks on the defense attorneys' faces, not the usual calm or elation you see in other 'not guilty' verdicts. But I also think it was more than surprise. Maybe surprise tinged with a little horror?

The one defense attorney did ask, in her closing, if he was so angry, why weren't there more wounds, 20 stab wounds?

But you know what might be more coming then even that? A more passive, aggressive, controlled single lethal stab.

He didn't LOSE control. He took it.

Twice.

Unreal.

His smile. Ugh.
I'm still in shock. Respect the jurors and I didn't hear the whole trial but still in shock.

I want to know if the jurors really bought the defense "s#&c@de by son".... just because of Catherine's past mental health concerns? Or what was it that pulled them to a NG? Completely unfathomable.

Yes I wish we knew how 12 people found him not guilty...

Let this sink in.

If they bring him up on charges against his father, they'll probably only be able to say he killed in self defense before but not mention it was his own mother.

Grrrrrr

Is it all 12? Or was there the possibility of a split verdict? Has the split been publicized?
