Vinnie Politan just said that KM is now useless to the prosecution in any trial against the alleged masterminds because she would have no credibility because her testimony would be in conflict. I really wonder if this was the reason she was put on the stand to testify by her attorneys! There is no way for her to flip now! Her attorneys just helped to protect the alleged masterminds!

I don't agree with this. She lied about so much. So, we're to believe the ONE thing she said about thinking CA had a role but didn't know how? She can just say she lied. Am I being dense about this?

GC confirmed with KM that she was lying to both men. That she was sleeping with both and neither men knew that.

GC also confirmed that SG got upset when he found out that CA was involved. He sent that text saying something like this is between you and your homie leave me out of it. And KM confirmed he was upset when he found out CA was the one asking about this random person trying to extort his family.

Also, recall on the wiretap, KM is very cagey with SG. He is confused about what’s happening. Because he’s missing a piece of the puzzle: CA’s involvement in the whole thing.

GC also tries to get KM to admit that SG was broke around the time of the murder and living off shrimp.

All this leads me to believe GC is going to argue: KM was playing both men. She lied to SG to get him to do the deed bc she knew he was broke. No way would SG help CA so KM had to lie and tell him that it was WA, hence Rivera’s ‘lady with the kids.’ KM lies a lot and sees ppl as a means to an end and manipulated them.

So presumably GC's argument is that CA did not know that SG was the one that KM hired to do the hit...JMO.

Another thing that was clarified on KM’s cross was the fact that she told SG that WA was ordering the hit. She hid from him that she was still in communication and sleeping with CA. So Rivera saying ‘lady with the kids’ ordered the hit makes sense. That’s what Garcia told him. Of course Garcia wouldn’t be thrilled about doing this for CA just like his defense is arguing. But he would do it for $40k if KM told him it was the lady with the kids. Because he’s broke and living off shrimp. Then when SG finds out about CA’s involvement he blows a gasket. Maybe you all had picked up on this but it just hit me.

I think if it ever comes to this, the jury would disregard her testimony and see if there is independent evidence to convict CA. JMO.

That braided hair, glasses, school girl innocent "look" for defendant is typical window dressing. But, it made me ill. She, the A's, and the whole lot of 'em are manipulative, self-serving "takers".

I just don't know if the jury will be sensible. I don't know if CA will ever be charged. If KM is acquitted I will feel worse than ill. I just keep thinking of DM's sons.

At the very least SG didn’t know that CA was the one that commissioned the hit. And it makes sense cause SG hates CA. No way does KM go to him and say ‘hey you want to kill someone for my rich boyfriend?’ Now did he know WA was CA’s sister? I’m betting no. I don’t think he’d do it if he had known that. Because it’s still connected to CA. I think it’s likely KM kept SG in total darkness and drip fed him only the info he needed to know to do the hit.

Now did CA know SG was involved, I think probably not. KM probably acted all tough for CA and said ‘I’ll take care of it just bring the money.’ That’s why when the bump happened, CA was like ‘take care of it!’

This is really nerve wracking to wait for the conviction, I can't even begin to image how Dan's family feels sitting there in court. Will there be justice??? I want to say thank you to all of you. I only joined Websleuths because I knew Dan and I wanted a community that follows the case. Your presence here has been keeping me sane in the midst of this crazy trial. So sad and tragic that Dan is not here to offer his commentary as a criminal justice professor. Thank you to everyone here - it is really something to have a community who cares about the trial!

There is that call from SG's phone to HA's phone on July 1. That could undermine the idea that SG did not know about the Adelson connection. JMO.

He’s broke living off some stripper named Shrimp. No car. KM comes to him and says I’ve got $100k to be split between us if you take care of this problem for a rich lady that is having problems with her bad bad husband. He goes to his bff King Tato, top dog of the Latin Kings and tells him he’ll split it with him. Remember Rivera was gonna be the shooter. SG came to him and said ‘I have a job for you.’ Rivera backs out. KM likely puts the pressure on SG, manipulated him further, pushed all the buttons, prob promised to get back with him like Rivera said. So SG goes and does the murder himself.
