A man in Florida is charged with murder, attempted murder, and arson in a gruesome crime. The victims were his three children and their mother.

.......the fire broke out late last Monday, Nov. 20. In the arrest report, they described the apartment as being "fully engulfed with flames and large plumes of black smoke emitting from the residence windows and the door."

The infant was also killed. The other two children were taken to the hospital in critical condition.

.......the father of the children, 34-year-old Charles Ivy, was notified after 4 a.m., and detectives were already hard at work.

Ivy, who’d also been arrested in Volusia County in 2015 and 2016, was charged with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of attempted murder, and arson with people present.

Moore, who was pronounced dead on-scene on Nov. 21, was found to be inflicted with approximately 100 knife wounds and severe burns, according to a new arrest affidavit, reports FOX35.

The kitchen stove’s four burners were turned on with large amounts of paper and a box located on the stovetop, according to the affidavit, reports WESH. It was determined by the Florida State Fire Marshall investigator that the fire was criminal in nature and an intentional act with two arson locations, reports WSVN.

Charles Ivy, 34, was charged with the deaths of 30-year-old Den'Jah Moore, her baby, and for trying to kill two other children in a burning home.

Daytona Beach police Chief Jakari Young said in a press conference Wednesday that Charles Leon Ivy, 34, was arrested during a traffic stop shortly after he left his Live Oak Avenue home in Ormond Beach.

Young said Moore was found with numerous stab wounds as was the 10-month-old boy, who was in a crib.

The two other siblings were not stabbed, the chief said.

Horrible. How NIkki must have suffered. I hope her death was quick. 100 stab wounds is overkill. that's a lot of rage. and then to set fire to the place in effort to murder his own children? By burning them to death? Evil. And I do not throw that word around a lot. Straight Evil.
