I watched the interview with her office nurse last evening.

The office nurse said the doctor was very punctual and if she was a couple of minutes late it bared investigating. So it was the nurse who immediately called the doctor. Then it seems somebody told her yellow tape was around the street and she drove over there to be told the doctor was dead.

I'm wondering who called the office and told her there was yellow tape? She was a couple minutes late, so someone went to investigate and found this? Did they try calling her first. Strange altogether.

I really don't think it's a patient, if she is offering no insurance services, she is dealing with more well off people. Doesn't seem like this would happen.

WHAT? That has changed since the initial set up. Can't recall what it was, but it certainly wasn't $1,000,000. I'm SO over these accounts.

Has there been any mention of the husband's occupation? Sorry if I missed it. The amount appears that the Doctor didn't have a life-insurance policy and this is for the family to compensate them for her lost wages. Perhaps also the office staff.

If a doctor does not show up for her patients, that is cause for concern. They would try to call her to see if something happened. If they could not reach her someone would be notified to check immediately. If this did not happen, THAT would be strange IMO.

Agree, and I was also thinking about the vehicle that had been parked in her driveway. Could it have been someone checking on her and not having any response then had LE called? I seriously doubt it was the perpetrator who was still there at 9:00am.

From some financial docs I've seen online, he was listed as "office manager" at her practice. If the case, he no longer has a job. Not sure about life insurance, I'd hope it was in place with young children

It is just a thought based on the amount requested in the go-fund-me. Most of the time those accounts are set up for people who really are in need of money such as for funeral expenses. The $1 million seems very excessive unless it is to replace what she would have earned over a period of time.

But how is that appropriate to ask strangers for an amount she should have had covered? How did she get a business loan to open her practice? There is no one else in the office who can still work?

It doesn't make sense with no life insurance and office staff now being out of a job that any of them would have been involved.
However it does sound like a crime of passion.

Could have been someone that knew the hubby was staying behind and she would be alone--singling her out. Burglars usually get startled and run or kill and get out. I dont think they stay and have an argument. Sounds like someone went into overkill. A very angry person.

It is not appropriate in my opinion. However, the amount does appear there was no plan in place in the event of her death, or something which would compromise her ability to work.

I agree with it being personal. It just doesn't seem like a robbery to me because of timing - what burgler waits until early morning to do this. It would've been at night, or even if during day you'd think it would be during work hours when less ppl about. Early morning when everyone starting the day would be a very odd time to pick to break into a house IMO.

I'm calling BS on the fact that she had no insurance to cover this. No bank would have done business with her for this exact reason.

I'm sure LE is looking into her finances and business dealings...
