I'm calling BS on the fact that she had no insurance to cover this. No bank would have done business with her for this exact reason.

I'm sure LE is looking into her finances and business dealings...

Curious if she simply forgot to reset it when she got home that night. Of course, how would the perp know that? Most security systems have yard signs or window decals that would scare off many potential intruders.

I believe the money being asked for is to do an independent investigation into her death.

I work in the heath profession as an audiologist and health insurance payments are a double edged sword for my practice. Here is my experience
1. Insurance payments often do not cover the total cost of treatment, it varies tremendously between policies and benefit providers resulting in the need to recover the shortfall between insurance payments and costs or writing it off
2. Billing insurance companies is administratively exhaustive, complex and at times payment is delayed
3. Each provider requires the practitioner to be credentialed by them in advance to billing any services
4. Some services need to be prior approved

All that being said there is only 2 reasons why I would be a practice that did not utilize patients insurance benefits
1. My business was so busy and profitable that I could be so choosy
2. The services I provide was not covered by nearly all insurance companies

so some people think that the mother didn't have life insurance. I don't know why the friend put a million dollars up there. You can by a home for 250k. So what's up with the cool million. Do they plan on moving in with hubby.

I'm just thinking out loud. But a dr with no 2 million dollar life insurance policy is strange. Did they get behind on the payments. Plus it's stated that 2 banks are accepting donations as well.

In fairness, we don't know there's no policy and it is other ppl starting the fundraising not the husband, but still it's a LOT for a ! Plus, it does seem strange at least three different ppl have started fund accounts you'd think there'd be some coordination of efforts

Uh, that is not a washer and dryer. Have to correct myself. Looks more like trash compactors of some kind being stored outside. They were not just recently moved. I compared earlier pictures of the house and they were already there, right next to the AC unit.
