was it ever mentioned if there were regular cleaning/gardening staff?

I wonder if we would be able to find a virtual tour of this home from when it was on the market before?

I don't think it was ever on the market. From looking at reg of deeds they had bought two lots 27040 and 27034 the latter of which was an empty lot they built the current home on. They later sold the lot and existing home at 27040. I hope I remembered the street numbers right but you get the idea

We need some of the leaks to make their way to WS. We all are sitting on the fence and can't figure out what side to jump off :fence:

.....well, at least we're not jumping off the r _ _ f !!!! :scared:

I sorta wondered if maybe something changed midstream....hmmm...wonder what it could be? just dont say the R word LOL :)

Well in that case, all drinks are ON (on top of) THE HOUSE...:guitar:

That is weird. The garage side door is a very vulnerable entry point. Once in the garage you have access to the attic. Going through the attic you can get to the other half of the house and exit through an additional smaller ceiling access. Most bigger family homes have at least that one more access. You can also work yourself through the utility door from the garage and then into the kitchen.

Perhaps they felt safer because of the fence and did not install a camera on the South side.

.....or we are going to learn that the security system was tampered with rendering it ineffective

I have had issues with my security system in the past where there was "no link to dispatch" the system will alert me to this when I am turning it on or off, but in between those times the system acts totally normal and I would not know unless I had either checked it or armed/disarmed it. So, if for any reason I hit the panic button or someone broke in the alarm would go off in the house but the cops would not be notified -- how scary is that? What if she thought the cops were called and really they had not been or she just thought the alarm had not been armed when she got home? oh man, that creeps me out.

I'm going to answer this myself. The hammer leak came directly from a LCSO member, who told a neighbor in the week of the murder.

I understood that. However it has only been reported by the media. We have no direct quote from the neighbor who allegedly said that LCSO said it. And just because a neighbor is reported to have stated that LCSO stated this doesn't make it true. I'm looking for verification from other neighbors.

I was directly told by the neighbor who talked to a LCSO member.

NIN..... Just asking, how do you know 'hammer' as the weapon was leaked to a neighbor by LCSO? Is this something a neighbor told you or what?

ALSO, who here has heard LE or Sheriff actually say this case will have "books and movies" about it? I've gone thru what I think are all PCs and news print--all I found on this was so far was reported/stated by a news reporter saying that the sheriff said that. I've not seen the Sheriff say this during any PC or read him quoted in print.

AND
someone posted up thread that NG reported Dr Sievers body was found in the kitchen. NG tends to take hearsay and run it like it's fact. Has LE or the Sheriff reported this or not? Anyone know?

Thanks for any answers here as I'm trying to catch up with any facts I may have missed. I too am anxious for an arrest but can see there's a ton for LE to look into when considering the medical practice and all other stuff she was involved in.

Hi. First post. I just wondered if there has been any more information about the dog-sitter. Could they have been staying at the house? Or did they come early in the morning and possibly not know Dr. Sievers was home (because she was going to be at work and still wanted them to take care of dogs until rest of family was back)? What if she caught them doing something criminal, such as searching for credit card information or drugs. The person could have panicked when caught.

I can think of several scenarios where someone with access to the house could have been there or allowed someone else to be there if they weren't expecting the family back.

Not saying this is any more likely than any other scenario, just another possibility that wouldn't be considered "random". Although, I don't take it too seriously when police say that after having a similar incident in my own community - we were assured we were safe because it wasn't random, and it turned out to be not only random, but someone who was looking to strike again.

NIN, I see your answer up a couple of posts. That's still from a neighbor so 'hearsay' unless you know this neighbor personally therefore you trust them. What I have a hard time with is that this is something that's not officially been made public AND if true... it's inappropriate for an LCSO to reveal that to a neighbor or any neighbors. JMO

Appreciate your answer though, thanks.

Personally known to me. I have tried to post about the leaks before. My intention in posting them wasn't about the leaks, but why they were leaked, exactly! Totally inappropriate and unprofessional, unless intentionally leaked.

IF LSCO did tell this to a neighbor for an intentional leak I feel it was irrespondsible. If they want to leak thru the media that is normal operating procedure .. Not thru the neighbors. I believe this info came out early in this investigation. I will look tomorrow to find reporter that originally posted info.
It may be same reporter that had story about husband trying to hire another doctor. Hmmmmm

Pferrin... Correct, "hammer" was leaked OR hearsay from the get-go. NIN knows the person to whom it was leaked. My daughter, in Estero (just north of Bonita Springs), called me that Monday 6/29, before noon about the Drs' demise, told me it was "brutal" but did not mention a "hammer". It was a quick conversation so whether she heard about a hammer or not, I don't know. Her best friend was a former patient & very upset so my daughter left her office to go work from her friends' house for the rest of the day. I heard about the hammer through news reporters talking to neighbors later in the day. The term "brutal" can describe what was done with various weapons so I regarded "hammer" as hearsay. Of course we all know that stuff can be leaked due to irresponsibility, etc. All truths will be revealed in the end---weapon, location in the house, TOD, how the perp(s) entered the home or otherwise, etc.
