Horseradish is white or at the least off white not red! lol

That's how I see it too. If someone, on the defense's side, suggested it was horseradish stains instead of blood I think that is plain silly.

I know what he's referring to as I worked in Blood Banking for a hospital a lonnnnnnnnnnnng time ago. Horse radish is a known analog to blood in testing. It tests as blood...falsely.

But I took the Prosecutor as saying that someone on the defense was trying to say the blood stains were two other food (if I remember) products one of which I remember him saying horseradish. Was he saying a defense expert disagreed with the blood findings from the State and thought it could be horseradish. That makes more sense. And I'd think easily proved or disproved by where the defendant ate during the time he wore the shirt.

So was the defense saying that McTear or the baby's mom ate horseradish and that was transferred to the t shirt and came back as blood when tested before the 48 hour window?

It's bs he brought that up, but hey, he's a defense atty grasping iykwim. TMI TMI TMI I know lol. Wish Joypath were here as she is good at explaining...just to say some stuff has the same chemical reactions for the lab and visual testing due to chemical makeup and it can lead to false positives. But the later tests....that were not presumptive... confirmed.
