ESCAMBIA COUNTY, FL (WALA) - Escambia County Sheriff's Office is investigating a death on Tuesday, August 8.

According to Maj. Andrew Hobbs, a group of children were playing in the woods about 100 yards off Coker Lane when they discovered human skeletal remains.

Authorities have determined that the body found last month in a wooded area off of Coker Lane was a suicide.

Children playing in the area came across the body on Aug. 8, according to the Escambia County Sheriff's Office.

The remains were sent to the medical examiner's office for further testing.

I couldn't find any recent articles about this person, just an interesting comment from last year under this article WKRG

Fairly sure she's been identified, but not positive. The case isn't listed in Escambia County Sheriff's cold cases or in Namus or anywhere else that I can find.
