I am wondering if they never went to a restaurant. She would get caught out straight away by not being on any CCTV film. The autopsy would show if Felicia had eaten or not.

If this was planned for some nefarious reason I think she would have been taken straight away to where ever it was going to happen. JMOO

I understand there was contact made, but Wiley showed up to Felecia's house and then they called her mom to see if she could go spend the day with her. I think that was the sequence of events. My point was simply that I would plan several days ahead and clear it with the parent, rather than making a spontaneous visit. According to some reports, the folks who were at the house didn't even know Wiley.

On another front - here's the latest from the Tampa Bay Times. Reading between the lines, it sounds like they have a lot of evidence and a chief suspect, but they don't want to ruin the case. It is critical to keep things under the lid in order to get damning information from a suspect during an interview. There are a lot of impatient folks commenting on newspaper sites. I can totally understand the anxiety, but the last thing they want to do is to rush a case to the prosecutor, let the suspect know, and then have the prosecutor or a judge not accept the charges due to lack of evidence.

She made it sound like FW was a runaway... And therefore LE did not activate an Amber Alert... Nor use other resources they would have used had LE been initially aware of the urgency of the case...

Reward offered for information in 9-year-old's death

A reward of up to $3,000 is being offered for information in the death of the 9-year-old girl found dead Saturday afternoon.

"They (Wiley and her friend) are certainly being questioned about what happened, when it exactly happened," said Temple Terrace Public Information Officer Michael Dunn. "I can't say they are supsects or persons of interest or anything of that nature, because that is not something the police department has said."

A body being found unclothed can also be due to a perp trying to make identification of a body harder without personal items being found with. I can only hope that was why Felecia was found unclothed, but I doubt it's a likely possibility and not due to Felecia being young. She was somewhat close to the size of a short woman. I am starting to wonder if this godmother brought Felecia as an exchange to help cover some debt whether it's drugs or something else to somebody. I also wonder if Felecia was even in the apartment as well as could this godmother went to take a shower at somebody else's home to clean up and attempt to discard evidence elsewhere. Of course this is JMO and :twocents:.

Oh RIP Felecia. I haven't been on my computer much yesterday and today and just heard the news. I was following the case at the beginning. Something just sounded really wrong with the story from the start. Who is this EW person? She seems to have at least two Facebook profiles that look like the same person as the mugshot.

Sorry if this has been discussed before, I did not go back and read the entire thread. Why would a 23 year old be her "godmother"? Was she a friend of the mother? Or a friend of Felecia's sister "SG"? Being 23, it would seem more like she would be a friend of SG's, but SG claimed that she never met EW before.

As others have mentioned, I wonder if Felecia was being used to help cover a debt or something. That basically she was sold...

I was hoping to log in today and find that an arrest had been made :tantrum: I found this article and don't believe it's been linked yet. My apologies in advance if it has. It has some statements from EW's mother.

I know that my daughter would not hurt no child," said Sabrina Teel, Wiley's mother. "We love children. My daughter did not hurt her at all."

Teel declined to speak about what she thinks may have happened to the girl, saying only that multiple stories had been told to police. She said she believed police would find the person responsible.

"I just don't want to say what is what until they get to the bottom of it," Teel said. "They know my baby did not do that. … Eventually all this stuff is going to prevail and that's what we're waiting on. It's going to come to a head."

This article states Felecia was found on the North side of the Causeway. It also names the street in Ybor that Felecia lived on with her mother. I revised the map with the updated locations and put another alternative driving route around Tampa Bay which might would work if being found on the North side is an important point. It seems too high traffic to have happened right on the Causeway (and more likely to have been found by a beach walker than a fisherman so how far out) and maybe drifted from anywhere between Town & Country, Oldsmar, and Safety Harbor. IDK.

i can only see two possible scenarios happening here.
1.EW took her innocently enough but at some point got drunk,high or stupid and left the child on her own.
2.she took her with the intention of having someone molest her to repay some debt and they killed her.

either way like the other poster i don't think felecia ever made it to that apartment.

Unfortunately I believe #2 is more accurate. Felecia was at home, the mother was at the hair salon, and for some reason EW went there and wanted Felecia with her that evening which led to Felecia calling her mother for permission to go with her. There does not seem to be any innocent reason for what transpired.

Agree, I don't believe Felecia was at the apartment, unless it was to be picked up by someone else for nefarious purposes.

Or the "meet up" could have been at a fast-food restaurant, where Felecia was handed over to whoever most likely assaulted and ultimately killed her.

Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies were called to an East Tampa gas station in January 2012, where Eboni Wiley was reportedly hallucinating. She was transported to a treatment center, according to a Sheriff's Office report, which goes into little other detail.

Oh, dear. This sounds tragic. Both of them have many statements about their love of God on their walls. A little cultural context - it is not uncommon for Southerners to devote numerous status updates regarding God on their Walls. And yes, some of the most vile people do this. If you don't believe me, check out Florida mugshots and look at the corresponding FB pages. In about 1/2 of the cases, you'll find some commentary about God, guns, and the Confederate Flag.

Anyway, maybe this woman tried to engage in some cleansing ritual with the child and ended up killing her. Who knows. The drug angle might not be true. A lot of very religious people have killed kids believing they were possessed or demonic. In fact, this recently happened in Tampa; the woman was schizophrenic. She stabbed her child in their front yard. Before people could save him, he was dead. There are so many possibilities, but women tend not to kidnap kids for sexual purposes. But so far, the cops are being mum about any male suspect.

I'm still having such a hard time understanding LE's angle right now. Not questioning it, mind you, but just not understanding it. Maybe we're just not hearing it. Seems to me at this point in the case, with a person the victim was last seen with known to and communicating with LE, we are hearing things like "processing her car/phone for evidence" "search warrant for her (EW) home" "search warrant for friend's apartment (where EW took shower)" "holding EW on suspicion of murder/accomplice to murder". Offering a reward is great. I hope the other stuff is going on too.

Then again, like someone else mentioned, maybe they are giving whoever they suspect a long leash, hoping for a solid lead.

It sounds like the police know who killed Felecia but are not ready to make that information public. They are saying it is an isolated incident, there is no danger to the public, etc.
