I am just sick that these girls were given bail at all...they should be sitting in jail waiting for their trials.

Shame on Dr. Phil.....I didn't like him anyway!

Don't forget that the video we have all seen over and over is AFTER they had already beaten her up the first time and she was unconscious. She woke up on that couch only to have them start beating her again. There are more tapes but we have only seen one.

I keep thinking of that fact and it only makes me feel sicker. I don't think I could watch any more videos of that vicious, vile behavior.
I hope Victoria's parents are getting her emotional help. How will she ever be able to trust friends again?

Good, I hope the police don't help the thugs, especially for something like threatening phone calls. In all actuality, they can't be surprised that people are appalled at what they did. At least no one's beat them like they beat Victoria.

I think her "MY PEEPS" would be an interesting read. I read the blogs on Mercade's myspace profile when the myspace link was first posted. I don't remember "MY PEEPS" being there before.

Interesting I hope the judge takes a very close look. I have no faith that any of these yahoos including the parents can be reformed. I do have faith however, that they will screw up the bail conditions and end up in jail...:dance:

It is horrendous. I saw some LE whom have seen ALL the clips, being interviewed on Fox last week. They said what we haven't seen is MUCH worse than that which is out already.

Mom and daughter are both losers. Sorry to be so hateful but they are. I saw the so called mothers page. She seems like a confused person. Not knowing her true identity. I think on her page she is trying to act like she is hispanic. Her pictures are pure white trash. Her daughter is just like her. Hopefully her little daughter has a good dad who can take her out of this madness before it's too late for her as well.

That is hysterical where she mentions that if people have something to say to her mom they should just tell her and she'll kick their a$$ too. Then, she gives her mother's myspace page. Her mother was only born in 1974. She was the same age as Mercedes is now when she had her. Speaks volumes, imo.

He sounds lazy, IMO. God forbid he has to do his....job. One of his students was seriously injured. And he's got a potential disaster waiting to happen if the students are polarizing on campus for or against VL. He better pay closer attention instead of trying to sugarcoat the problem. He's not the only one either that has made comments to the effect that the fact the video went public is the cause of the problems. Well so what, deal with it you whiney butthead. I've been so mad since seeing the beating on TV I couldn't even post. I can't imagine what the rest of the videos are like! Makes me sick....

I have been following this case and reading everything and have been working up in my mind exactly what I wanted to say for days. It is so sad that it took me a while. I have 3 kids ages 12, 9, and 7. After watching the video I sat them all down and told them about what happened and how horrible it is . I told them the importance of treating others with respect , never bullying and coming to the aid of those being bullied.I told them to be a leader in their actions by being good to others and to not be a follower just because others are doing things like this.I told them that God made us all different and that the world would be a very boring place if we were all the same. I told them that it does not matter how some one looks or dresses or talks or how smart they are or how much money they have but it is what is on the inside that matters. I have always taught my children this but felt like I needed to reiterate after seeing the video. I am a young mom all 3 om my kids were born before my 23 birthday but I have tried to instill as many values as possible in them and teach them right from wrong. From the actions of Mercades mom it looks like some young mothers can not help their child grow up to be a productive adult because they themselves have failed to grow up.
It saddens me they more and more girls are taught to see each other as rivals and enemies instead of support systems. There are some programs to help girls to be closer and treat each other with respect and not to bully each other but these programs are few and far between. We need to catch girls as soon as they hit school and teach them to be encouraging of each other and not competitors in everything in life.
My daughter is only 9 and is in 3rd grade. She is a very pretty girl and is a gymnast and cheerleader , a beauty queen , a talented singer and in the gifted and talented program at her school . She makes friends with everyone every where she goes because she finds the good in everyone. She has such a diversified group of friends because she loves everyone. I have taught her to thank God for all of the gifts he has given her in life but I have also taught her that these gifts do not put her above anyone else and she knows that. We have already had to deal with bullying and the sad part is not just from girls but also their moms. My daughter is a very talented cheerleader because she worked her butt off being at the gym 4 or 5 days a week when she first started. Two of the girls that started at the same time did not progress as quickly as my daughter and the mothers acted horribly. Spreading rumors about me and not letting their kids play with my daughter. It was horrible! Don't even get me started on pageants. There are bash boards on the internet specificly or moms to go and talk bad about other pageant kids and moms. This is why we do very few pageants now. Once the kids start winning they get bashed more and more.It is sick. If women were to start supporting each other the world would be a different place. Another 3rd grade girl was being horrible to my daughter so she asked a mutual friend why the other little girl did not like her and the friend said , now get this!?! that the girl said she did not like my daughter because she always dressed so cute for school and had so many nice clothes. Is that not crazy? We do not have much money and none of my daughters clothes are even new. I scour yard sells and thrift stores. We as women need to teach our daughters , grand daughters , nieces to treat other women as friends not rivals and we need to do this by leading by example. Ok sorry for the lecture. I just feel so saddened by this. Now off my soap box.

Oh and by the way . Doctor Phil is not a liscenced Doc and has not been for a while. I believe he got his lis. pulled for inappropriate contact with a female patient. I know I read this when all the Brittney Spears sga w/ him was going on. I will try to find the link.
One more thing that I do not think anyone has commented on . For those of you that have watched the video you can hear some one saying in the back ground to watch the shelves don't hit the shelves while Tori is getting the crap beat out of her by the door against the wall. That part made me so po'ed that someone was worried about something on the shelves getting broken while this poor girl is being pounded. I wonder if it is Mercades saying that since it happened at her house?

I won't quote your comment, but I loved it. I wish there were more moms like you in the world. I'm sorry your daughter is treated horribly by others. My daughter is too at times, but she is pretty confident of herself right now. I worry about the high school years and hope she can keep that confidence about her. Your daughter is becoming stronger too though all this.

OOohhh, the part in the video where a girl shouts "Watch the shelves! Watch the shelves!!" as the victim is getting pounded burned me up too!

Dr Phil needs to give at least the amount of bail to the injured girl & family. They may throw it back in his face, but it could help out with medical bills etc. Or maybe he could pay Mike Tyson to spend the night in the perpetraitors' cell!!!
