The prosecuting attorney paints quite a picture of the Adelson family's desire to "erase" Dan Markel from the picture- so they could all live happily ever after. I think she is doing a good job of explaining the sequence of events that led to his murder.

CA scribbling notes when Sarah emphasises the nexus through ' his girlfriend KM( imo he's also gonna claim KM was not his actual girlfriend)

ETA: About 15 mins later Sarah makes clear that KM was Charlie's ex.

In my experience, Florida justices especially, are very good at instructing the jurors before opening statements about how what they hear from the attorneys during the trial is NOT evidence.

Only statements/testimony by sworn witnesses is considered evidence. This includes both lay and expert witnesses.

And even though witnesses are sworn to agree or affirm to tell the truth, jurors are allowed to use their own judgement to weigh the credibility of the witnesses for each side.

In other words, during opening statements, if the prosecutor or defense attorney make statements in their opening as if they are facts, yet never call a witness or produce an admitted trial exhibit that supports what they said, jurors can question the credibility here as well.

And rightfully so, IMO. Nobody likes being misled.

Clear eyes, full hearts, can loose.

Face touching, especially on the nose, is commonly interpreted as an indication of deception. Same with covering his mouth.

All that $$$ expended on jury consultants and they forgot to clue him in on his appearance before the jury. JMO

@Niner - Not sure if any local MSM are doing a live blog during this trial but Tallahassee Democrat's "gavel to gavel coverage" has been excellent, and I'll try to remember to link for you.

IDK but when he made the analogy of the jigsaw puzzle ( a hobby he claims he loves) and when he said that 'the pieces don' t fit ' I almost expected him to say ' if the pieces don' t fit, you must acquit!

He's also now claiming that he wasn't ' super close to Wendi' ( claims evidence of CA not really visiting sis in TA & was too busy making money, as a ' travelling periodontist', worked all hours etc)
