Yes, on direct CA said he called WA because he had a fight with Katie and wanted Wendi's opinion about it. He also said that Wendi said she was having her tv repaired because the screen was broken.

I was surprised that, after CA's conviction, DA was aware that her arrest was next, rather than fearful that it would be. I know she spoke to Dan R, and there was talk of a grand jury, and she reported that he said she might get out, or might not. I wonder if DA and HA had not tried to leave the country, how much longer it would have taken to arrest her?

If DA was this certain, then it seems likely that WA and HA might be quite aware of whether they will be arrested soon.

I think that WA's expensive lawyer sitting through long days at this trial after she has testified speaks volumes.

Airport (11/13/23) on out-of-County warrant from Leon County arrest Warrant [#FW23102353] & indicted (11/15/23), charged (11/21/23) & arraigned (12/11/23) with 1st degree murder, conspiracy to commit 1st degree murder & solicitation to commit 1st degree murder. No bond. Held at Miami-Dade County Jail (Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. Leon County has 15 days to extradite from Miami-Dade County). Transferred from Miami-Dade to Leon County on 11/20/23. Transferred to Wakulla Detention Facility on 6/6/25. Held without bond (murder), $25K (conspiracy) & $25K (solicitation) on 11/21/23. 8/29/25 Friday, Trial Day 6: State witnesses: FBI Special Agent Pat Sanford (lead agent) back on stand. More recordings of Donna, etc. [After prosecutors played a tape where Donna Adelson mentioned her flight to Vietnam, the defense has called for a recess].
*The jury is dismissed for lunch, but Donna Adelson was just sworn in. The judge is making sure she understands how her lawyer’s cross examination will fit into the defense plan. Regarding her lawyer's strategy when it comes to cross examining the jailhouse snitches. Just before the final break, the State said it intends to rest its case today, but it could bleed into next Tuesday after the holiday break.
State witnesses continued: Miami-Dade Police Dept. Detective Jonathan Grossman. [helped with search warrant to Donna’s house]. Patricia Byrd [jailhouse informant]. Drina Bernhardt [jailhouse informant]. Kate Butler, a handwriting expert with FDLE. TPD Sgt. Christopher Corbitt.

It has been said that DR was told his client may be arrested in the coming days. So he possibly knew. The logic behind this is it acts as a bump in that in cajoles the perpetrator in to taking action i.e fleeing and incriminating themselves even further (consciousness of guilt), aiding the States case.

I think John Lauro has been told the same thing. WA is next up.

It’ll be an interesting day today listening to Jackie defend Donna. I still wonder how the Adelson’s choose Jackie? I remember a few attorney’s left the case early on claiming conflict of interest blah blah blah, so maybe Jackie, who used to work for State Attorney Willie Meggs, choose Donna? Remember Willie Meggs? He refused to charge the Adelson Clan due to insufficient evidence? Even though, there was a mountain of probable cause to charge them.

Kelsey Guay is up for the defense. She said she used to work for the Portland Police Bureau.

She has 400 hours of training, with 100 for cell site location.
