Today some podcast guests suggested arresting them both because Wendi's testimony will not be needed against Harvey. There was no mention of whether the two could or should be tried together.Would it be a good idea to try Wendi and Harvey together? Would they be able to force separate trials anyway?
GEEVEE, bbma Excellent and astute observation!Agreed on all counts. I especially liked that he read DA's verdicts himself, I checked back and he had the clerk read Charlie's verdicts, no clue why he changed the procedure for DA but I was very glad to hear those Guilty verdicts coming straight from him.
I caught that. I think he read the verdicts himself because he knew Donna was almost certainly going to have an emotional outburst. If the clerk or worse the jury foreperson had read them, that individual may have been upset by DA’s protestations and emotional reaction and themselves been upset. Also the process of reading them could have been interrupted. Which I am sure that’s what Donna was going for: to show the court, jurors, the world how she felt about the verdicts. I think the judge took it upon himself to read the verdicts and discipline Donna as his responsibility to his office. It showed superior emotional understanding and also compassion for his staff and the jurors. He even showed compassion for Donna today and throughout the trial. Truly a great judge.Agreed on all counts. How long was the jury out, please?
I haven't been following this case closely but it didn't take long, am I right?
3 hours and maybe 15 minutes, they went out at 4:18, I didn't notice the precise time the verdict announcement was made, but some bit over the 3 hour mark.
Fantastic, so quick.Guilty on all 3 charges!!!!!
Fantastic, so quick.
Let's hope Wendy is next but it seems her case may not be as strong as Donna's.
Oh I 100% believe she was watching it from the comfort of a cushy hotel room without the boys, drunk and probably crying over a couple of sushi rolls that will come back up in a few hours.I hope Wendi made it home in time to see the verdict being read and hear the powerful victims impact statements.
