Come on down Wendi…😂😂😂

It's remotely possible (not reasonably possible) that Donna was mostly accessory after the fact, but winning with that defense would have required her to testify that Charlie was completely guilty. If she were to sacrifice her son this way for a slight chance of her own freedom at age 85, the jury would have hated her even more.

Would it be a good idea to try Wendi and Harvey together? Would they be able to force separate trials anyway?
Today some podcast guests suggested arresting them both because Wendi's testimony will not be needed against Harvey. There was no mention of whether the two could or should be tried together.

Agreed on all counts. I especially liked that he read DA's verdicts himself, I checked back and he had the clerk read Charlie's verdicts, no clue why he changed the procedure for DA but I was very glad to hear those Guilty verdicts coming straight from him.
GEEVEE, bbma Excellent and astute observation!
edited to add: Did anyone notice about 17 seconds after the judge announced "Guilty" and DA's contorted & pained facial expressions, she "side-eyed" over to the camera to make sure they were filming her reaction? And, even though tissue was placed in front of her, she never needed to dab her eyes? She kept mouthing, "I didn't do this" to the back-rubbing assistant on her left.

Right at the end when the deputies tell DA to stand up, there's a bit where it almost looks like she's trying to make a break for it. I think in actuality, she tried to reach out to Harvey, but the deputies weren't going to allow that to happen. They basically surround her and march her to the exit.

How long was the jury out, please?

I haven't been following this case closely but it didn't take long, am I right?

I caught that. I think he read the verdicts himself because he knew Donna was almost certainly going to have an emotional outburst. If the clerk or worse the jury foreperson had read them, that individual may have been upset by DA’s protestations and emotional reaction and themselves been upset. Also the process of reading them could have been interrupted. Which I am sure that’s what Donna was going for: to show the court, jurors, the world how she felt about the verdicts. I think the judge took it upon himself to read the verdicts and discipline Donna as his responsibility to his office. It showed superior emotional understanding and also compassion for his staff and the jurors. He even showed compassion for Donna today and throughout the trial. Truly a great judge.

3 hours and maybe 15 minutes, they went out at 4:18, I didn't notice the precise time the verdict announcement was made, but some bit over the 3 hour mark.

Guilty on all 3 charges!!!!!
Fantastic, so quick.

Let's hope Wendy is next but it seems her case may not be as strong as Donna's.

DA's conviction has affirmed that a jury of our peers will accept the voluminous circumstantial evidence that has predominated this case. Thus WA's trip down Trescott will not be accepted as a shortcut, her canceling cable, giving away clothes etc will be accepted as signs she plan to move, her comments to JL and SY re hitmen being hired by CA will be accepted as truth.

Now even Harvey and Wendi know people from the other side of the tracks. Or at least the other side of iron bars!

I hope Wendi made it home in time to see the verdict being read and hear the powerful victims impact statements.
Oh I 100% believe she was watching it from the comfort of a cushy hotel room without the boys, drunk and probably crying over a couple of sushi rolls that will come back up in a few hours.

The walls are closing in and now it’s just her and Harvey. Who knows if they’re even talking anymore at this point,

She was stony-faced and careful throughout each trial, but at this point I can’t imagine she isn’t panicking behind closed doors.

Still can't get my head around a professor being murdered because he wanted to have his children 50/50 custody and for them to remain in the town they had been born and raised in.....

And I say this as someone who many times in my 30s would have left my husband if location had not been a consideration .....he wanted to raise our son in scotland and my family is in england ...I did not have the courage to divorce with all my family the same 400 kms away ....would have done it if they had been here or we had been there ....I lived with my choices accepting life is compromise, and somedays I am glad I stayed in the marriage, somedays not so much but.....

Hiring a hitman just cos a marriage is crumbling or crumbled - over custody and location ?

How does one make that leap ? and think it is justifiable ? an educated person at that with logical reasoning skills and moral comprehension.

How does one live with that even if had not been caught by LE ?

This case is absolutely fascinating with it's human (or lack thereof) side as many others have pointed out

At many points in this case, I kept wondering if there was any spousal domestic violence, infidelity or emotional abuse by DM during the marriage - not that it would justify murder but I could not understand the vehemence, hatred and anger against DM by the A family ...and was trying to ....

When I listened to the friend Tamara's police interview on you tube recently, it was obvious (not that there was any suggestion otherwise even by the defence) that he had been blindsided by her leaving had tried a lot to get her back, and tried for the family not to be split apart ....and then eventually finally started moving on with another relationship.....I dont understand why they were so angry with him still ....the upcoming grandma motion and the financial assets motion ?
