Donna's theatrics were over the top. She can't just sit there and listen to the proceedings. She has to emote, shake her head in denial and of course has to look like the victim. Whether it is an enate ability to turn on the victimization, learned in childhood or she rehearsed acting techniques with her daughter...pretty impressive.
This is how the "shake/shiver" is done. Her side-eye to the camera and head throw back showed total manipulation. Is the camera on me? Even her attorneys would not look at her after the first few minutes.)

When portraying shivering, moving your foot up and down is an effective technique, especially if you are seated. To make the action look natural and involuntary, combine it with other physical and mental adjustments.
Seated shivering technique
This method creates a shaking motion that appears difficult to control.
  1. Place your foot: Rest the ball of one foot on the floor while keeping your heel lifted.
  2. Bounce your heel: Rapidly and subtly bounce your heel up and down. This sends a tremor-like shake through your leg.
  3. Hunch your posture: Combine the foot movement with hunched shoulders and an overall tightening of your body. This adds to the illusion that the shivers are affecting your entire body, not just your leg
Somehow This came to mind:
You put your right foot in, you put your right foot out, you put your right foot in, an you shake it all about…you do the Hokey Pokey and you turn yourself around, thats what it’s all about.
So was this AI?
The side eye to the jurors and her utter disdain for the comment about Rob..

Thank you for this information. Justice in this case has been moved forward in no small part by Luis Rivera and his testimony. The only real indications I have heard about his family/children have come from his mention of his ‘Baby Mama’ in his testimony and Phil Markel’s reference in his impact statement. I have been impressed by LR’s honesty on the stand. It could not have been easy for him to testify against his close childhood friend SG. I hope that he is receiving educational opportunities in prison.
He was brought into the LK’s at 14 by his uncle. He really had no chance.
I still think he is holding back…such as.I don’t believe they threw the gun away.
I don’t think they thought they would get caught.
Also the posting of the owl. Well that may be connected with Sigfredo but how did Luis know the owl meant something to Wendi?
Who goes into a drive in bank knowing there are cameras if you think theres any chance..?

I also want to address several smears made here against the forewoman, as I couldn't disagree more with the criticisms.

First, some have dinged her for being too excited or too eager. It's hard to believe we watched the same videos. I'd like anyone who has that view to quote her or give a timestamp where she says anything inappropriate or unseemly. And there is nothing wrong with someone being excited with their jury service anyway. I'm sure many of us would have loved to be on a jury for a case like this. I'd also rather see someone eager for jury duty than all those who would rather just get out of it. And if she was acting too excited, what does that say about GC, the professional government official, during her comments after the verdict, because she appears many times more excited, as do the people loudly cheering in the audience there. Yet, I don't recall anyone here criticizing GC for her demeanor, only approval. CourtTV - Georgia Cappleman Reflects on Win

Some other things that have been said about her:

"It appears their minds were already made up prior to deliberation."

Nowhere is that either stated or implied in anything she said, it's the opposite in fact. She sounds like she was very conscientious and responsible in her duties, the kind of juror anyone should want. It can bee seen why she was chosen as the forewoman. Show me a quote, if you disagree.

"It’s always the wannabes that want fame and attention. It’s so unattractive."
"she now thinks she is very very legal savvy. I think this is her 15 min of fame."

Such hostile and snide comments against someone posting on their own little SM page without any fanfare. She didn't go to the media, she went on her small channel where she has long regularly posted about her life. Would it be any more valid if she did an interview for a mainstream news network? I don't see why it should. She would have gotten more views if she did that than she has on her page, if it were all about wanting "fame and attention." And going by her last video, it sounds like the "wannabe" won't be talking about it anymore at all.

"Very concerned she worked hard to get seated on jury for this opportunity."

This is a strange thing to say since nobody has any control over getting picked for jury duty, other than getting a driver's license or registering to vote. If anyone thinks she lied during jury selection, that's simply a wild unfounded, irresponsible allegation.

A couple of people brought up the Murdaugh jurors as a comparison against her, but the problems there were about what happened during the trial, not what someone said after the trial. And the biggest problem there was the clerk, not the jurors. It's a false comparison unless you can point to any actual misconduct.

Someone also talked about an unnamed "commentator" who was following the juror's TikTok who thinks that "one or more major networks have gotten to her and asked her to stop and come on for interviews" and then the user adds themselves that "those gigs pay and involve nice trips so I think she will stop the TikTok now."

So this person took as fact someone's hearsay about what the juror said (when her video is there for anyone to watch themself) which were just the commentator's speculations about media involvement and ran with it with more speculations. But the juror said nor implied anything about going to media. Even the Tallahassee Democrat news story about her said they reached out to her and she had not responded. She did in her last post indicate she would not be talking about the trial anymore, but what she said was, "I came to share my insight but there is a lot of people who took it the wrong way and that's okay and so although this has been fun, i think it's going to be all for me."

So if she quits talking, it will be because she doesn't want to deal with the haters. Thank a lot, haters.

And if you want to call her out, at least see what she said for yourself. It's all publicly available, no paywall.

YEP..... I knew about the technique...but AI explained it much better than I could ever put into words.
You can also go to WIKI-everything and learn how to fake cry, too. (I wondered how these females managed to "fake cry" on cue.) WA always reminded me of Dalia D.)

Do you remember Wendis boyfriend D. Sacks? He was a theater professor and wrote a book about crying.
Dr G has a good video from yesterday on the subject.
I will have to check it out . Yes many people compared WA to Dalia.
Such a contrast -W with a table full of dry tissues -Donna with not one.

Thank you for defending her. I think if people want to criticize the attorneys, the judge, or the expert witnesses that's fine. They all signed up for this.

But the jurors did not. They interrupted their lives and in many cases suffered a financial hit from serving on the jury. They should be free to discuss the case in any manner they see fit. It's their fundamental right, whether or not we personally agree with how they express themselves.

Now if turns out the juror lied or did something improper, that's a different story. But in all the videos to date, it seems she comported herself appropriately in the courtroom and the jury room, and she took her responsibilities extremely seriously. I thank her for her service.

Edit - Let me just add that I think the same grace should be extended to the victim's family and the witnesses who are innocent bystanders (like Dan's neighbor). They too never signed up for this.

Thank you for this background on LR. Was that given in his previous testimony? I did not watch the earlier trials of SG and KM.

I also think he may be holding back and had that same thought about the gun not being thrown away. For no other reason than my own imagination about what I would do in that position with a ‘new’ weapon.

  • #1,093
Any weapon which could link you to a murder has a very negative net value. It was surely discarded, and quickly. Exactly as Rivera said.

I would love to have been a fly on the wall when it was discovered that Donna hadn't deleted messages and apps on her phone which meant so much more evidence......
All out hysterical conniption comes to my mind - and a genuine panic not like the contrived reaction staged for the Judge and Jury when the verdict was read!

Exactly! It was all an act except for her anger. I’ve watched it several times. Her anger is a hot topic and that explains the no tears. The more I watched it, the more I realized that she was fuelled by her anger.

She didn’t respect the judge, courtroom or witnesses. There were no tears because she lashing

Is DA expected to appeal the verdict? (Do all convicted murderers appeal, or does it just seem so?)

What is the tea on WA seeing other men when she was with JL? Is this known to be the case? If so, is it mentioned to indicate her lack of character? Did JL say that she had a bruised behind after one of her trips?

She had been smacked on the bum during sex on a work trip. I believe from what JL has said she had been unfaithful multiple times. She had been on a dating app whilst seeing JL. SY also stated in her deposition she had multiple men on the go at the same time.

I'm not sure how this can be brought up as relevant though.

They ARE a wealthy family.
Ruth has published many books prior.
She owned her own business.

Phil also owned his own consulting business and has a mansion in California (aside from residency in Canada) akin to celebrity level (Carl S was invited there).

Their family lakefront summer home in Ontario is worth more than the Adelsons ICON condo.

From my understanding, Ruth has some projects in the works and met with some producers during the trial.

You SHOULD read her book. Its a fast read and very well written and informative.
She may have included that little bit of info just to 'rub it in' as DA sits convicted of murder and going to prison for the rest of her life. Good for her.

Thank god for this jury! Bless them.

Yes, jurors will be younger and looking like her and having a public presence, haters begone. IMO

They came to a quick verdict because the prosecution was dynamite!
