Boynton man missing after fleeing assisted living facility

The Boynton Beach Police Department is searching for a missing and endangered 71-year-old man who suffers from dementia.

Police spokeswoman Stephanie Slater said George Martin fled from an assisted living facility Monday morning.

Slater said Martin broke a window and fled on foot from the Parkside Inn located on Southwest Third Street just after 6 a.m.

He was last seen running southwest, wearing tan pants and a tan long-sleeved shirt.

Police officers are currently scouring the area looking for him.
