PS- I haven't linked to the site itself, only articles about it relating to this very issue at hand - bullying and suicide in regards to the platform they freely offer.

Katelyn Roman was released back into her parent’s custody, per the judge, due to her remorse and cooperation. She is on home detention and not allowed to attend school.

Bleh, does this mean she's basically trapped in the house with her allegedly abusive stepdad? Who now knows she's told the world? This is SO effed up.

Yes, police will get an order for all social media & cell activity for all the girls & families involved. Usually ip now can be traced with results back in le hands by end of day. This might be a bigger case, though, bc a suicide is involved. Now this stuff with Katelyn's YouTube acct, wow.

Fwiw, I believe her. For a child to write that out and post it on the Internet with her face in video flipping the pages of her notebook - unreal - definitely believable.

That video broke my heart. My best guess is that Katelyn found that it was better to bully than be bullied.

They said they were angry over remarks by Sheriff Grady that their daughter was 'very cold' with 'no emotion' when arrested.

'My daughter don't deserve to be in the place she's in right now and I just hope that the truth comes to the surface so we can get out of this nightmare', her father told ABC News.

The family declined to speak with MailOnline.

Sheriff Judd dismissed their claim that their daughter's Facebook had been hacked and said they were in denial over her postings.

Police sources said officers had been monitoring the social media accounts used by many of the teens who had been interviewed during the investigation.

When the 'I don't give a F+++ ' post appeared he said they decided to make arrest to prevent further online bullying.

Jeesh... :(

Holy cow. Found it. I feel sick.

Here is Katelyn with brown hair. She's very pretty. :( How could she have turned into a bully? Such a shame...

http://youtu.be/7xpospbOhzE

A 1:07 she holds up a note age which she wrote "I have been touched by my stepdad"

There are many people who are abused who do not bully or let alone become criminals. I remember reading that bullies have suicidal tendencies.

Katelyn Roman could possibly be an injustice collector and her repressed rage exploded when she saw Rebecca Sedwick dating John Borgen. Injustice collectors tend to be envious as they are angry. Examples of injustice collectors are Gertrude Baniszewski, Lori Drew, Yoselyn Ortega, Seung-Hui Cho, and Aaron Alexis.

Roman chose to become the very thing she feared, a bully.

Lol! I haven't heard sauce called "gravy" since I was married to my ex who is an Italian from Brooklyn (later, Patchouge).

And I have some size 8 jeans that are getting uncomfortable because of my lack of self control regarding premature Halloween candy..........:banghead:

Being a 1st generation Italian-Canadian I have wondered why Italian-Americans call sugo (italian for sauce) gravy? We call it sugo.
The first time I ever heard it called Gravy was when I lived in Florida, many of my neighbours were from NY and NJ

Here is what I think these bullies are. The following categories are psychopathic, psychotic, and traumatized. There are overlaps with them. It is from this article.

Rampage School Shooters: A Typology
http://www.schoolshooters.info/PL/Articles_files/Rampage School Shooters- A Typology.pdf

Guadalupe Shaw-Psychopathic
Katelyn Roman-Traumatized and Possibly Psychotic

I saw the Youtube videos by Roman and the mugshot. She looks very different in the mugshot as her eyes are bulging as they look like Sanpaku eyes. Something I have seen in Lori Drew, Casey Anthony, Yoselyn Ortega, Adam Lanza, and James Holmes.

Disclaimer: This what I think.

http://www.heavy.com/news/2013/10/katelyn-roman-guadalupe-shaw-rebecca-sedwick-bullying-suicide/

IN the above linked article is the January 2013 police report filed by Rebecca's mom, Tricia Norman.

On January 24, 2013 Rebecca's mother, Tricia Norman, filed an official Police complaint. She reported physical threats her daughter had received and that she had an "ongoing feud" with another student. The unnamed student in that case claimed she never touched Sedwick.

LE went to the middle school to investigate and spoke with the Assistant Principal, Mr Jackson
Mr Jackson called both (Rebecca and the unnamed girl) girls down separately to speak with them and advised schedule changes be made so they didn't attend class together.
Mr Jackson also documented the incident with the school.

_______________________

Now the question is was the "unnamed girls's parents informed of the indicent at school?

This was an official investigation by LE at the school and I find it hard to believe the parents were not informed.

Florida’s anti-bullying law was amended in July to cover instances of cyberbullying. The punishment for online harassment cases, however, was left up to the schools by Florida’s legislators and not the police, who, in certain instances, may have the option of pursuing criminal charges.

Former Florida Govenor Charlie Crist 2007-2011 (Morgan & Morgan) is among the attorneys representing Tricia Norman, the victim’s mother.

At a news conference on Thursday morning, Crist said the pervasiveness of cyber bullying was a new reality and a “true societal problem” that was hard to detect.

Norman’s attorneys said they are investigating other students as well as parents of the alleged bullies for negligence and organizations for their role in the case.

Judd told CBS News' Crimesider that he charged the girls with stalking because what they did to Sedwick went beyong bullying into harassment and intimidation, but he also said that Sedwick had problems at home that may have contributed to her state of mind on the day of her death. According to Judd, Sedwick slept not on a bed at home, but in a recliner. Her sister, said Judd, slept on the couch, and the girls' clothes were kept in "grocery sacks" in the living room.

Poor girl, I feel so sorry for kids. Shame kids can't pick their parents.

Jose Baez says he won't let teen accused of stalking Rebecca Sedwick be bullied by justice system

http://www.wtsp.com/news/topstories...-wont-let-client-be-bullied-by-justice-system

He contends his client didn't do anything criminal and that she feels "absolutely horrible" about what happened to Rebecca. He described her to reporters Friday as "remarkable" and "extremely vulnerable," according to the Ledger.

----------------------------------

He has used those words before to describe a female client.

Also at today's arraignment hearing, Prosecutors for the 10th Judicial circuit in Polk county asked for more time to review the large amount of investigative reports.

Lawyer Says 12-Year-Old Bullying Defendant Did Nothing Criminal

http://www.theledger.com/article/20131025/NEWS/131029550?p=2&tc=pg

Baez said he admired Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd for bringing attention to bullying.

“But not at the expense of a child,” he said.

Katelyn has been suspended from school and is under home detention conditions.

Circuit Judge J. Michael McCarthy granted Baez’s request that Katelyn be able to use a computer for educational purposes only.

The girl was also given permission to attend church and go into her yard for fresh air.
