Judd said that after detectives arrested Vosburg's stepdaughter, people from the community saw her on TV — then sent tips to the law enforcement agency, urging them to look at the Facebook page of another of Vosburg's children.

Detectives discovered a video posted in July 2013. According to the arrest affidavit, the video shows two boys fighting on a bed, then Vosberg steps in and begins punching and hitting the boys. One of the boys falls off the bed and appears to not move. Judd said none of the children were injured.

Judd, who showed the chaotic, minute-long video during the news conference, said there were four other children in the home at the time.

"This clearly indicates to us that this appears to be a normal way of life," he said. "They're laughing and cussing and throwing the F bomb around. Then they're posting that conduct for all to see."

But the teen seemed remorseless when a message appeared on her Facebook page last week.

“Yes ik (I know) I bullied Rebecca nd she killed her self but IDGAF (I don’t give a f---),” the post read.

Shaw’s parents argued that someone hacked the girl’s account, because they actively monitor her Facebook activity and she would never write such a heartless message.

But Judd has said cops didn’t buy the excuse and quickly arrested the teen and her pal.

Judd said the video posted to the social networking site showing Vosburg beating a child was evidence that the parents didn’t watch what their daughter was doing online. The parents never knew the clip had been uploaded to the Internet.

“Vivian does not monitor Facebook. Vivian hasn’t monitored Facebook,” Judd said. “But if she wants to take credit, then she thought it was okay.”

Tricia Norman has retained attorney David Henry, the managing partner at Morgan & Morgan's Winter Haven office, the firm announced this week without naming potential defendants.

"We're going to look at every possible potentially responsible party," Henry is quoted as saying. "We applaud the efforts of Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd and his office in investigating and responding to this tragedy."

Judd told CBS News that what these two girls' did to Sedwick was criminal because "they terrorized her."

"They did things like, 'You should die, you should drink bleach and die," said Judd. "You see a pattern of harassment, a pattern of intimidation and that's what they did. They intimidated this girl. They harassed her. She had no peace."

Court papers allege the 14-year-old began harassing Sedwick over a boy both girls had dated. The affidavits filed by a police investigator also indicate the younger girl and Sedwick were once close friends, but that the 14-year-old may have convinced the younger girl to turn on Sedwick, even getting her to beat up her former best friend.

The two young suspects are now under house arrest. If they are convicted, the sheriff says they are unlikely to face jail time because this is their first offense.

Omg GMAB I guess he doesn't think somebody would give the girl an itouch or something lol.

Every single time my stepdaughter used to get grounded by her mother, she'd borrow one of her friend's old itouches and hide it in her purse when she'd come stay the weekends with her father & I. Her mom would call us to check to see if she brought & hid a smart device bc she'd check her twitter & sure enough there'd be posts on there...so she knew her daughter had to be posting from something/somewhere. We had to set our computers and phones to password protected, etc. The computers are set up with admin login but kids had their own. I had to block it every time. Such a hassle but part of being a good parent.

Seems to me this set of parents need to shut their faces bc they're making it worse for their children. Investigators already said they're being charged as juveniles so it can be expunged for crying out loud. Iow, they're being given a chance to change, to learn to be a good person - which may take some hefty deprogramming therapy sessions IMO - as it's a first offense. Since they're charged as juvies, I guess it would depend on the degree of the stalking charges to figure out if & when it could be expunged. If the girls show no remorse or betterment of themselves, the the judge could rule against it. Papa needs to hush his mouth if he wants his daughter to have a chance to fix herself. & that wicked step monster should serve jail time! A least the younger girl that used to be friends with Rebecca showed a little remorse, and her father spoke out about how awful he felt didn't he?

Trust me - I'm not siding with the bully. No way. She needs to be held accountable.

unless they took everything and turned off the wifi & lock them in their room... They'll find a way! Kids are so tech savvy and resourceful.

I actually think in this case that the school this started at could hold some responsibility. I wouldn't be surprised if Morgan & Morgan go after the district. Does anyone now the exact wording for the bullying laws in Florida?

What a silly man....kids are very tech savvy..don't underestimate what they know and what they can do with the technology they have grown up with...
