Websleuths is a victim friendly forum…..

The "victim friendly" rule extends to the family members of victims and suspects. Sleuthing family members, friends, and others who have not been designated as suspects is not allowed. Don't make random accusations, suggest their involvement, nor bash and attack them. ……That does not mean, however, that statements made by family members and other third parties cannot come into discussion as the facts of the case are reported in the media.

REFERENCING OUTSIDE SOURCES - "LINKS"

Quoting an outside source is allowed when the content is intended to substantiate a post. An example would be a snipped portion of a mainstream media (MSM) news article. While Websleuths does not prohibit quotes from sources outside of WS, we reserve the right to remove the quote and link if the source is deemed inappropriate.

mod note: Most blogs are not considered appropriate sources. There are some exceptions. Contact a moderator if you have a question about information coming from a particular blog. Rumor and misinformation coming from unapproved blogs will be removed unless the information can be substantiated with an MSM or LE link. Do not assume that posts with information from a blog have been left standing because they are acceptable. Moderators are very busy with active cases on the board and may not have seen particular posts with that information.

New article on People.com:

Regarding the POI:
"We’ve come up with a height of between 5’3 and 5’5 and this has been backed up by the FBI who also came down and checked out the figures. Now, the clothing looks to be maybe someone who is a painter or some type of worker...”

"The Kesse family’s private investigator...maintains that a worker was involved... he claims that up to 10 construction workers were living in the condo across the hall from Kesse..."

It also says her father believes she may have been abducted/trafficked.

The Florida Dept of LE is currently working on the case.

I thought the small height theory had been disproved? And the same for the poi outfit been similar to a painters.
The People article also made it sound like boyfriend Rob travelled with Jennifer upon returning from St Croix. They said both went to Orlando and then Rob went back to his home in Ft Lauderdale. Probably not important but certainly NOT the scenario that’s been reported for 19 years - which is their original flight was cancelled/late so Jennifer stayed in Ft Lauderdale with Rob and drove directly to work in Orlando the morning of the 21st.

It’s got a lot of misinformation. The writer didn’t do their research. They did take back the height estimate. They don’t have a height estimate as far as I’m concerned. They also don’t know what the poi is wearing because the camera does funky things with colors. Logan said that non of the workers he encountered the day she didn’t show up for work were dressed like the poi so take that for what it’s worth. There were no workers living across the hall. There were no workers even living in her building. I’m not sure why the Kesse poi stated that on 48 hours but Drew went on the local news and corrected him. Unfortunately more people watched 48 hours than the local news.

Here is a link to my post where Drew corrects his poi about the workers living across the hall.

I apologize for posting an article that seems to have some errors. I admit I am not up-to-date with Jennifer's case.

I thought it sounded "off" that workers would be allowed to stay in empty condos there...
No problem. People needed content for their site and just wrote something because it’s the anniversary. It sounded off to the local media and that’s why they contacted Drew about it. I actually have serious concerns about the Kesse’s private investigator because he spread that misinformation on 48 hours.

Since I’m calling out misinformation, my post should say morning of the 22nd.

''Her parents Drew and Joyce Kesse took to Facebook on Friday, asking: “How can a missing person’s case with such awareness not produce even a direction 19 years later is inconceivable, yet very true and we, Jennifer’s family and friends, live with that very real fact day in and day out.”

Her car was last seen dumped by an unidentified man a mile away from her home at an Orlando apartment complex.

In a 2020 interview with Spectrum News, the Kesses say they knew about 75% of what was in the Orlando Police Department’s investigative files, like case timelines, photos of Jennifer’s abandoned car found at a nearby apartment complex, surveillance video of a person dropping off that car, and family and friend statements.''

Sorry if the answer to this question is common knowledge, but how is Drew, Jennifer’s brother who did not live there, able to know with certainty that workers were not living in a condo in Jennifer’s building? How would he know that with certainty? How could anyone ever know something like this with 100% certainty? Condo complex denies it? He didn’t see it? Workers said they went living there? Semantics? Living there vs. occasionally crashing there? I just wonder…

*Jennifer Kesse was last seen at her apartment complex in Orlando on January 24, 2006. Police had few leads and little evidence. Her family spent thousands of dollars to get the case files and hire a team of private investigators. Now, with state law enforcement leading the charge, there is renewed hope for answers. Drew Kesse, Jennifer's father, spoke with FOX 35's Garrett Wymer on the 19th anniversary of his daughter's disappearance.

There was nothing out of the ordinary when Jennifer Kesse called her parents on the night of January 23, 2006.

The 24-year-old had just returned home to Florida from a long weekend vacation with her boyfriend Rob and his family to St Croix and she was regaling her family with stories about what a great time she had.

[...]

'Everything was great in Jennifer's life. Honestly, it was a fab time in her life. She was just taking off on that young adult path that we'd all love to have. She was enjoying life - as she should have been.'

That would be the last time Jennifer's family ever heard from her.

The next day would become what Kesse describes as the 'day hell came to visit.'

And what has since followed is almost two decades living without Jennifer, with no answers, no suspects and no credible leads about her sudden disappearance.

'That day, hell came to visit. And we have not been able to put a trail on Jennifer since that day. We're now 19 years out and we don't have any direction,' says Kesse.

But now, 19 years to the day she vanished without a trace, Jennifer's dad is hopeful a new team of investigators and a chilling piece of surveillance footage will finally hold the key to bringing his daughter home.
