I had a semi-similar situation once... but was told to hold off on the new locks until they finished the major work. After that we changed our locks (at a pretty cheap rate) en masse.. and then the keys were only availble to the current workers. They suggested it this way because they were using so many outside contractors when we were in a transition state.

Thanks for the info. Is that the norm that keys to condo units owned by individuals are provided to the association/property managers?

Just curious if anyone knows the answer.

If the two cell phones were turned off back in Jan 2006 and were placed somewhere, and then say, 1-2 years later somebody found them and turned one of them on. Would there be an automatic alert or something to the cell phone company or LE if there was a ping to a tower? I guess that's assuming that service was still being paid for.

My question is, is there a way for LE to confirm that neither cell phone has been turned on between Jan 24, 2006 and now?

I am new to the post here and I just watched last nights 48 hours on Jennifer. The show said the dogs traced back to the apt. building she lived in. Also remodeling was going on.........any cement work being done? Could she have been wrapped up in carpeting and gone to a land fill? I live in a similiar complex, everyday workers, painters, carpet men are in and out. This has all kinds of security and all, but people let people in all the time. Just wondering about her, what a shame, so many beutiful young girls are being lost to these preditors.

Hi everyone:

I don't post often, but I read every post on this case and have followed it since the beginning.

I watched the 48 hours show last night and a couple things occurred to me:

1. Was there a buzz in system at the condo complex or could anyone just walk in? The stairs looked creepy and dark but I don't know if that is just the way they portrayed it. Also it appeared as though her condo was right at the top of the stairs. It would have been easy for someone to hide by that stairwell and wait.

2. If the workers had keys, why is the fact that there was no sign of forced entry really relevant? He could have come in during the night with his key and grabbed her.

3. I can't help but wonder about the party. Have all the guests been thorougly examined? Suppose some sicko was there and saw a picture of her in her condo, perhaps went through her personal things and developed an obsession. Did Logan know all the attendees well?

4. This is a little far fetched but it seems too lucky that the camera snapped when he was behind the gate posts. Could he have known the camera timing and that is why he waited to get out. Although why bother if you knew the camera was there? He just seemed to get too lucky.

5. It just seems to perfect of a crime to be random or committed by an illegal.

6. Is it possible that this was a professional hit and the poi is dead because he got caught on camera and they wanted to make sure he wasn't identified? I know...I watch too much tv but this case seems unbelievable.

7. What was Jennifer into at work? She was a financial person. Could she have known something she shouldn't?

I don't know...these are just some things that I thought of as I watched it.

I think that it depends on the association... at one I lived in it was the norm...

But my boyfriend's does not.

If the numbers and accounts were maintained, yes. Automatic alert, no.
It would need to be checked, this was prior to GPS auto functions on all of our new phones.

Le has stated her phone was off and did not ping as soon as they were alerted. Regarding Travis's phone, no info has been released.

Also it appeared as though her condo was right at the top of the stairs. It would have been easy for someone to hide by that stairwell and wait. IF this was sexually motivated by a worker, why would she be removed from her condo? Why not attack in her in the privacy of her own home?

2. If the workers had keys, why is the fact that there was no sign of forced entry really relevant? He could have come in during the night with his key and grabbed her. Her family stated that her condo was undisturbed. She had showered, left her pajamas on the bathroom floor, hair dyer was left out and clothes were laid out on the bed leading them to believe that she had got ready for work and left, locked the door and disappeared.

3. I can't help but wonder about the party. Have all the guests been thorougly examined? Suppose some sicko was there and saw a picture of her in her condo, perhaps went through her personal things and developed an obsession. Did Logan know all the attendees well? Good question.

I doubt he knew about the cameras or he would have parked the car somewhere else.

5. It just seems to perfect of a crime to be random or committed by an illegal. Not with help. IMO.

6. Is it possible that this was a professional hit and the poi is dead because he got caught on camera and they wanted to make sure he wasn't identified? I know...I watch too much tv but this case seems unbelievable. Do we know of other women who have been the victim of a hit? Can you tell me any case where a woman was hit for any other other reason besides her husband was looking for freedom and financial gain?

7. What was Jennifer into at work? She was a financial person. Could she have known something she shouldn't? Back to number 6 answer.

I don't know...these are just some things that I thought of as I watched it.

My answers (discussion) are in bold blue.
thanks for your discussion ~

hi everyone!! Watched the 48 hours on Saturday, although we didn't really hear much more than we already knew.
My theory (for what it's worth) is that she was abducted by one of the worker's at the condo. Which is why the scent was traced BACK to the condo.
My question is, what time was her card dropped off at that spot by the unknow individual on the camera?
This story is just so sad...she had so much going for her and she was beautiful. I feel so sorry for her parents, and hope that they get the questions they deserve!! SOON!

So is Mosaic in Chapter 11????

If they are, The Kesse's should be aware of it and speak to an attorney at once, without wanting to be specific on here.

Looks like the 48 Hours reair did some good-- it got people who have never heard Jenn's story aware as well as it reminded people she is still out there.

Praying today and always for answers.

One theory that hasn't been discussed very much is the one of her disapperance being somehow related to her job.

She was a financial analyst for a big company. Could she have known something she shouldn't about something like embezzlement?

I'll point to the case of the missing couple in Hilton Head who have never been found and their accountant allegedly committed suicide. There was some type of embezzlement situation going on there and it is believed that the missing couple learned of it just before they went missing.

Just trying to think outside the box of the construction worker theory.

Interesting point...

I read somewhere....(I don't know if it was an old post here.. the sentinel.. or topix) a rumor that a boss she had "had trouble with the ladies"...

I have NO Idea if it was a current boss.. or if there is any crebible element to that rumor... but, if Jenn was as cautious as people said.. I feel she'd have mentioned being uncomfortable to others....

I have considered that as well. There is no info to exclude the possibility.

The ladies man theory about a boss comes from the recent lawsuit won by a former employee for 5.4 Million for sexual harassment against David S. The president.

From what I saw on the TV program last night, I think that someone was laying in wait for Jennifer as she left her condo. This would be an unknown construction worker that may have lived there.

He took Jennifer.

Returned her car, it was just maybe unknown to him that he was being filmed, but he was dressed in what is speculated as painter clothes.

Someone knows something and they have not come forward. New evidence will be needed....I hope it is forthcoming.

Hi there. Her car was parked/left at HOTG the same day she was reported missing, Tues, Jan 24th. I believe it was at 12:00 Noon (time stamp shows 1300 but Orlando Sentinel reported it was 1 hour earlier than time stamp.)

Can someone who's been following this longer confirm the time?

So is Mosaic in Chapter 11????

Not sure what the status is now, but yes, it looks like they filed for bankruptcy and the property was being offered through this Mile High Capital Group (docs uploaded to site in May 2006).

I've been digging into the Developer and Property Management companies and associated names.

I noted that Millenia Luxury Condominiums had a financial interest in KW Property (per the property contract). The key contact for Millenia Luxury Condominiums is also president of a real estate development company in Miami. He has a son and they have partnered on other real estate deals in Florida. There are a number of both active and inactive corporations listing their names. I noted that they (and/or relatives) had/have companies established for painting, tile/stone, and landscaping. I wonder if those relatives and their workers were brought in to do work/live at the complex.

I have a bunch of info on this but not sure what it all means if anything - if anyone is interested in reviewing and helping me sort it out more, please PM me.

The recorder time/date stamp was not reset for daylight savings time.

The correct time is noon.
