The Defense's opening statement was very short. They are breaking now for a long lunch break, and judge reminds them no alcohol during this time. Back in court room at 1:15 EST.

Court is resuming, and the beginning of the first witnesses.

First witness Jamie O'Neal, rode her bike on Kady Way Trail. Two people with her and headed west, rolled out about 6:45 am. Saw 2 bodies around a fire, fire around 3 ft. Called 911. This was on the south side of a bridge, saw one other biker and no cars. Did not approach maybe 10 to 12 ft was the closest to make sure this was real people.

Next witness for PT Brian Larson resident 8 yrs. Sunday April 15, 2012, Jamie O'Neal, and Bill Nash was with him to ride bikes on the Kady Way Trail. Saw 2 bodies laying on the trail about 5 to 10 ft away. Saw 2 bodies burning, not sure if they were mannequins or not. Called 911 and fire trucks showed up first.

Stephen Kliman (?) a firefighter, is the next witness. Came in as a unknown type fire. Arrived around 6:30 - 7:00 am sun was just coming up. Put out fire and checked for pulse on carotid artery and there was no pulse. Did not move bodies and did not see anyone move the bodies.

Marcus Bullcek Sherrif's office, got a call to Cady Way Trail. Saw 2 bodies with no shoes, blood on back of head. Called homicide unit. In Orange County, FL. Cars moved within 50 yds of scene

Jenny Welch Crime Scene investigator: worked for them 7 yrs. BS UCS various training courses, 600-700 crime scenes. Called out to scene around 7:20 arrived around 8:30. Law enforcement and 2 victims at scene, met with lead detective. Taking photographs and talking to detective. Showing the witness photos that she took during the crime scene investigation to make sure they are hers.

The defense wants some of the photos not entered into evidence so they are thrown out.

Jenny Welch is describing pictures to the jury presented by the Prosecution team. Some of the pictures shown spent casing's, cigarette butts, the deceased victims, etc.

I wish I knew how to take a picture of the screen.

Same witness is talking about a Heinken can that was taken as evidence from the scene. Talking about taking swabs from the can. The defense objects, judge overrules. Now talking about a Miller Highlife can, taking swabs and putting into evidence. Defence objects to relivence and judge overrules. Swabs are for DNA.

It has been over 30 minutes and they still are not back. The defense was objecting to the evidence that the Prosecution was presenting so I wonder if that is why they are not back yet?
