Glad he has been recaptured. Now it's time to ramp up security and keep this creep locked up for good.
http://www.sun-sentinel.com/local/broward/fl-resiles-post-escape-hearing-folo-20160726-story.htmlMurder suspect Dayonte Resiles had less wiggle room to pull off any fast ones as he made his first return Tuesday to the same courtroom he escaped from 11 days ago.
Resiles was the only inmate present, the focus of five armed deputies, two bailiffs, a TV camera and several reporters in Circuit Judge Raag Singhal's courtroom 4810. He was escorted into the courtroom wearing a red jail jumpsuit and shackled at the waist, ankles and wrists.
During the hearing, Resiles' defense attorney, H. Dohn Williams, was granted an emergency motion to rescind a mental health evaluation that another judge had ordered for his client. He argued that it could affect the death penalty case for which he was jailed at the time of his escape July 15.

But accused murderer Dayonte Resiles has a right to pen and paper and he used it to send a one-page letter to Judge Raag Singhal entered into his court file on August 29 as a "letter from defendant."
"I want to apologize for escaping from your courtroom," Resiles writes in a neat handwriting. "I hope you dont take it personal because your (sic) one judge that I have great respect for."

In the one-page letter, Resiles for the first time publicly reveals why he says he escaped.
"I felt I was at a dead end with nowhere to turn to. I tried to appeal to everyone to prove to them I was innocent but my voice went unheard."
