I don't understand how LE searched those woods with dogs and didn't find him, but his family and friends did.

Isn't a little suspicious that the wife claimed that someone broke into her home the day after he was last seen alive, but didn't call the police or report it because she assumed it had been him that broke in? He was already dead at this point. Also in the media, her speculation that he was having a breakdown -- just doesn't sound right at all.

I wonder if cause of death can be established?

LE is unlikely to follow up on "suspicions" without some hard evidence.

Perhaps John's family will raise questions and pursue answers.

He seems to have had more than one major stressor going (divorce in progress, job loss...maybe more?) but his family described him as "happy-go-lucky" which I would interpret as an ability to bounce back when life piles on the curve balls. And he was described as devoted to his young daughters.

It's a terrible loss, whatever the final outcome.

I find this suspicious too especially as his wife said in the media that she was trying to serve him an injunction.
Had cause of death been released ?

Not that I can ascertain. I have been googling the case to see if there is any new news or any new developments, and it's just been crickets.

If I was scared of someone enough to get an injunction I would have to thought the logical thing is to call the police if you fear someone has tried to get into your home. Yes I’ve tried to see for developments too but there doesn’t seem to be anything other than the remains found. I hope JSO can ascertain what happened. How someone can just be found deceased and no reason given for what happened seems bizarre.
