If this is televised it will be must see TV.

WTH is going on in my state??! One dude kills an unarmed teen walking home from a convenience store and is acquitted, one guy shoots and kills a man (father) in a movie theater over texting and then we have this almost unbelievable case.

A few days ago, I was behind a car that didn't go when the light changed to green. My sons kept telling me to honk and I said, no way (who knows if the person would have come out and shot us?)!!

It's extremely disheartening how guns have caused so many needless deaths in our country and that I have to worry about being shot just by honking my horn. :(

It better be! There's a lot of interest in this case. And it's Florida, so I assume it will be televised. I'll be very disappointed if it's not. I've waited for over a year to see Jordan Davis receive justice.

True. Seems like all these cases that may cause a race war, they keeping it private. Just foolishness, cause what we do know, no fight took place so if this man gets off. God help him

The First District Court of Appeals overruled Circuit Judge Russell Healey in December, saying all material in the case needed to be immediately released unless Healey held an evidentiary hearing immediately. On Friday, Healey issued an order that told the State Attorney’s Office to release phone calls Dunn made in jail and the witness list prepared for the trial.

The State Attorney’s Office released a witness and evidence list Friday, but phone calls Dunn made from jail won’t be released for nine to 10 weeks, Assistant State Attorney Lisa DiFranza said, because she said it will take 180 hours to redact all sensitive information and will cost more than $6,000. The trial is scheduled to begin Feb. 3.

The jury selection starts Monday IIRC. Will it be televised on the net anywhere?

The Duval County Clerk of Courts has not yet determined how large the jury pool will be for this process. No members of the media are permitted in the courtroom itself for jury selection and there will be no photos or videos from the process. The Clerk will be providing an audio stream to listen to, however, there will be no recording permitted.

I find it really odd that the general public is allowed to attend, but not the media??

ETA - yes, jury selection begins on Monday.

Unfortunately, it only talks about during the jury selection and not about the trial. :sigh:
