Hi!!!! Does anyone know if the defendant will testify himself ?

Sometimes I think defense attorneys just say a lot of nonsense in the hopes that the jurors think it must be important and they are just not smart enough to understand it.

Ding ding ding! Juries are usually smart enough to figure it out though...usually.

Or they want the jurors to quickly forget whatever was said just before

Dunno! In his opening the defense attorney said whether or not a defendant testifies has nothing to do with his guilt or innocence. So I assume not...but I don't see how he couldn't.

It's a possibility, but from what I understand not etched in stone. I have heard it's hard to claim self defense without testifying. GZ didn't testify, IIRC.

@RachelLeitao: .@strollalaw asking Grimes about what witnesses were doing inside Gate, calling, texting, etc. Grimes said doesn't remember.

I think he's just asking questions to ask at this point...

Here's questionnaire #MichaelDunn potential jurors were given during jury selection http://twitdoc.com/2NA6

When you see Dunn's girlfriend leave it's with no fear or anything. That's odd. It's almost like: "Great, now what is Michael doing?" You'd think she'd hide inside. I'm pretty sure I would.

BBM.

I agree. That's exactly what it looks like.

OTOH, I've always told myself that I'd be smarter than the actress in a horror movie and I wouldn't open the door. However, there was one instance where there was a fight going on outside my bedroom door and without thinking I jumped out of bed and rushed toward the disturbance. Especially since there was a loved one in the parking lot, I can see why she would head toward their car.

Wait. The lady buying stuff is his girlfriend? Shut up.

Yes but Zimmerman "took the stand" by way of those police interrogation tapes & the 911 call. MO

I tweeted Stephanie Brown about the jurors. Here's her responses:

@NewsAndNom @MeeBee23 Is the seated jury diverse? - 06 Feb

Stephanie Brown
@NewsAndNom

it's broken down a few ways in that article. I would say so.

So there's no way to tell who the alternates are? - 06 Feb

Stephanie Brown
@NewsAndNom

not now. It's not uncommon in trial for that not to be revealed until the end, that way they all pay equal attention

Can I just say that I love this attorney's suit. It's gorgeous. Tailored with a kinda silver sheen to it. I'd post a screen shot if I could figure out how. (The woman prosecutor, not the defense attorney who looks a bit ragtag IMO.)

Very very nice indeed. Jealous that in Florida you can wear just a jacket suit without seventy layers underneath like I do every day :tantrum:

Chrestensen's version being compared to other witnesses in cross examination by #MichaelDunn atty; she agrees, "Organized chaos." @wjxt4

Defense attorneys are sneaky with this "is it possible" business. It's like getting them to admit to something they're not sure of. It shouldn't even be allowed because, theoretically, anything is possible. It doesn't mean anything to say, "it's possible."
