Everytime I see a prosecutor speaking from notes I think how much of a natural Juan Martinez is.
OT I really do not like this self defense law. It ALLOWS people to shoot and ask questions later.

I'm actually glad he was convicted of the three other charges first and that there was a mistrial on this charge. It makes it possible to focus on just Jordan. (And the jury is not distracted.)

BTW, I'm surprised the defense pulled their expert forensic pathologist. This was to be the person with more autopsies and experience under his belt who was going to smash Simmons "amateur" states (in the defense's eyes).

Maybe Simmons did such a good job the def. team could see the flaws in their own expert's opinion and were afraid he'd end up uumin and aaahing like Knox. He'd possibly end up saying "could have" instead of "was" as to how the bullets struck Jordan in tune with the defense story.

Another thing we may never know.

Day 1 - mr. Smith testimony would be enough for me to convict MD. He saw everything. He saw the gun on the seat. He heard MD say "I'm not going to let you talk to me like that!".

this is a sad, sad closing. No amount of juggling (badly trying to) the law makes up for evidence, testimony, and her client's complete disregard for human life.

Well, I'm halfway through Dunn's testimony and I don't see anything new so far, except that it was pointed out that the "gun" he saw didn't have white caps on the end of it. So there goes the tripod theory.

This Defense Attorney is not doing Dunn any favors. Her closing sure is a stretch. In her attempt to highlight that Dunn did not hide the gun etc, she is highlighting what he did do that was wrong on so many levels.
