It was reported that the dad had texted with his mom regarding the ride from the airport. Now if she was not alive at that time, than someone sent that text from her phone. Even *IF* the Corrections Officer dad knows more than he is letting on, there is no reason for the son to take off cross country. I feel terrible for him in that he lost his mother and his son in a way.

If this scene is still under investigation than I imagine they may not have all the pieces of the puzzle yet either.

It’s ‘the more to the story’ that I referred to in my previous post. Did LM walk into a crime scene and ran for his own protection? Dad arrived hom on Wed, LM was stopped on Late Fri night. There are five days unaccounted for in the timeline. IMO

If he ran for his own protection, wouldn't he have reached out to law enforcement, at some point, to tell then he stumbled upon a crime scene and he thinks his grandma was killed?

At this point, I am not believing that he was not involved. Home invasion killers would not have buried her in a shallow grave in the yard. JMO

YES. If he was not involved, why send a text to a classmate about his homework? Wouldn't he have worse problems ?

  • #584
I thought a text was sent on Tue, you don't think he sent that text?
Wouldn't he still have been home on Tue?

And the text was apparently sent to a classmate about homework assignment. WHO else could have known or cared anything about that besides Logan?

Not usual behavior for a suspect to attempt to hide a body during a home invasion but I’m thrown by a fact provided by one of the news reports, LE stated there was no blood at the scene. Did the action of her demise take place outside?

I don't remember seeing any reports saying there was no blood at the scene. If you run across them again, could you link them for us?

I have seen this description:

"
The front door was wide open, and the house had been gone through and the weapons were missing," Campbell-Mott told News4Jax.

Police said Friday that the gun safe appeared to have been damaged, and that there was evidence of "criminal violence" inside the home.[/B

Also:
“He’s had some problems over the last couple of years. It’s just been a tough time for him, transitioning from one school now to high school, and he’s in the early college program, and that’s really intense,” Campbell-Mott said.

Campbell-Mott told News4Jax that the last time she spoke to her son was Sunday night, and everything seemed fine.

“There just wasn’t any indication that there was anything wrong, nothing. It was just a normal conversation,” she said. “They’ve been asking me what kind of a mood Logan was in on Sunday night when I was talking to him. We are both Native American, and we talked about making moccasins when he was here at Christmas and talked about spring break.”

Campbell-Mott, who also has three young children, said her son had been asking about possibly moving to Missouri to live with her instead.

“I think every kid goes through that when you spend the majority of time with one parent; there comes a time in your life where you say, 'Well, you know, I wonder what it’s like over there,'” she said. “But then he got into the early college program, and we thought that’s where he needs to be.”

The Florida teen held in Buffalo, New York, and considered a person of interest in the death of his grandmother is a good student, well liked by his classmates, who has no criminal history, the lawyer representing him says.
...
"He adamantly denies any involvement in his grandmother's death and he's very upset about it," Dominic Saraceno, a lawyer hired by Mott's family, said.
...
"My understanding is he has no history of crime, he's a 9th grade student, he's a good student, he's well-liked by his classmates. And the only type of medication that he is on is for juvenile diabetes," the lawyer said.
...
Upon confirming the warrant with Florida's Neptune Beach Police Department, the officers were advised that Mott was also the "person of interest" in a murder investigation in Jacksonville.

Logan now has an attorney to represent him while he's in in Buffalo, Dominic Saraceno. His website link doesn't work here but his office is in Buffalo.

Saraceno says Logan's not on any meds other than those for his diabetes.

The car had always been missing. Yes, foul play and criminal activity which may or may not include blood. IMO the spokesperson for the Sheriff’s Office was very nervous providing his report and answering the follow up questions. IMO, the press conference was held on Friday and at no time prior was there any indication/announcement the scene was being treated as a domestic scene. A 15 year old misses two days of school, a GMA misses two days of work, neither are answering their phones and Dad comes home via Uber to an open door, his home ransacked and all the while a death has occurred, a body buried and a teen is in process of driving two mane three days across country and no one notices until Dad unpacks his luggage and sees his gun safe has been “broken into” and that was reported by the Mom. LE is not required to release any details on any investigation, however a 15 year old is missing. Something is amiss and the scene remains secure into its sixth day.

I don't believe it happened exactly the way you are describing it. I do not believe that the father walked into a ransacked home and began 'unpacking' his suitcases, ignoring the scene around him. Mom's reported are based on 2nd and 3rd person descriptions of what happened. JMO

I think it's *possible* the crime scene at dad's house was confined to one area, so they could have walked in, carried their bags up to their room, and not realized immediately... like a bedroom or kitchen...

Then when they looked around to see where everyone was... saw the crime scene... oh-oh, better go check the gun safe...

The initial reports make it sound like the whole house was a mess, but I'm not convinced that is necessarily what was meant.

The original link where Logan's mom said no blood was found was overwritten by the link you posted and no longer contains that quote. Apparently it's what a detective told her prior to LE finding Kristina's body. I think LE did end up finding blood and that's why the quote changed. IMO.

"Front door was wide open and the house had been gone through and the weapons were missing," she told News4Jax, adding that a detective told her no traces of blood were found inside, and the family dog was inside the home unharmed.

Here's the WS post containing the prior link:

Yes, usually need to eat something to get it back up. But, it is known to be almost worse to go low than when the blood sugar is high. You become shaky and dizzy and feel like you're going to die. But, the anger/rage would happen before that part. But, I still don't see that being a part of this although you never know. Also, mental illness does tend to come on about this age and severe can cause blackouts.

I was posting here when this was super early, and just came back to find all of the new information, KF's body being found, etc. Man was I wrong.

I just hope it doesn't take long to uncover what happened. Very sad that a young teen could possibly be involved in something so gruesome; I didn't take him as a troubled kid when this first came out, so I am extremely curious to find out what happened and why.

I think that Dad being in the field that he is in knows not to make a statement to the media.
I'm sure that he has been questioned by LE about his son.
I don't find it unusual at all that he is not making public statements.

I don’t find it that unusual either. For the reason you said and also because I imagine there are just no words for what he feels right now.

Perhaps he did not have a passport. Were his family travellers? Where I live, children do not have their own passports until they are 16. Their details are added to a parent's passport before that.

Really? My sister had to get my nieces their own as infants.

In USA, that is the case. Even infants need a passport. I think the OP is not in USA.

As someone who suffers from non-diabetic hypoglycemia (due to a genetic condition), the anger/rage can definitely happen at the same time as the other symptoms - and sometimes you can be completely unaware that your blood sugar has dropped. I've had episodes where my mood has changed and I've had no idea I'm in the danger zone because I don't have the shaking or dizziness or general gross feeling all the time.

I don't know if LM wore a CGM, but that is something that you can get prescribed to you especially if you have hypoglycemia unawareness. If he had a pump, I feel like he probably did have one, just because nowadays that's almost standard with new pumps to be connected with one. Does it say at all when LM was diagnosed? I feel that may have some kind of an impact as well. I know it took me 2-3 years to really get a handle on what lows feel like in my body because they can come on differently depending on the circumstances.

Thank you for the clarification. I have hypoglycemia but not diabetes and I should have declared that was my experience. I believe he has had it for a very long time, but do not know for sure.
