Deceased/Not Found FL - Lacey Buenfil, 25, Altoona, 27 Dec 2011

Are their details correct? It says she walked away with her wallet, cellphone & keys...contrary to previous reports. This case makes you :banghead:

TIA!

Yes it does. The wallet was recovered in the Big Tree community by a resident. Not sure about the phone and keys.

Bumping on the anniversary of her disappearance.

This case is apparently marred with much wrong/misleading/inaccurate information.
It truly needs to get sorted.

the first thing that came to my mind was "karma"... but she's right. justice would have been much sweeter than karma. *HUGS* to her family.

"A lot of people say karma, karma, karma. What goes around comes around. But to me, this is not justice. This is not justice at all because, to me, justice would be closure for our family, and we don't have that, and we're not going to have that until somebody shows us where Lacey is," Fox said.

Terrible that the only POI is dead and may have taken all the answers with him:(. Hope her family can find out what happened to her soon!

Lacey's weight is listed as 90 lbs. on her flyer. The Doe in Wildwood was listed as "heavy set". Sadly, I seriously doubt it's Lacey, but maybe answers will come for another family.

Just heartbroken for Lacey's family that they have no answers and possibly never will. I can't even imagine living through that. I pray answers will come somehow, someway.

On Christmas Day three years ago, Cynthia Fox said her daughter-in-law Lacey Buenfil told her three young children she would see them again soon. The girls, now ages 5, 7 and 8, had baked a cake and made dinner for their mother, which she took with her.

On Dec. 28, 2011, Fox said, Lake County sheriff’s deputies found the cake and food inside a vehicle, but Buenfil, 25, was nowhere to be seen — then or since. To keep Buenfil’s memory alive, Fox and her family will hold a candlelight service at 4 p.m. Saturday at Nelson’s Fish Camp, off County Road

I remember that case very well. Her poor girls...I hope Lacey's remains will be found one day.

There is a young woman currently missing from Jacksonville that looks very similar and has only been living in Jacksonville since October IIRC. There is a thread for her and I'll link it but she was acting irrationally and knocking on neighbors doors. By the time LE arrived, she was gone. Photo looks similar. Height, weight and eye color same (though one woman is listed with green eyes and the other listed as hazel). I may be way off base but what do fellow sleuthers think? Lacey is posted first, then Suzanne. Thanks.
