GUILTY FL - Lakeland girl, 14, charged with killing newborn son, 19 Sept 2012

OK, this is where I read about the blood in the bathroom.

Four days earlier, the girl’s mother told police she took her daughter to the emergency room after she “observed a lot of blood in and around the toilet area” immediately after her daughter used the bathroom, according to the affidavit. During the visit at the hospital, the girl admitted to her mother she had a miscarriage and flushed the fetus down the toilet without looking, police said the girl’s mother told them. Medical staff advised the mother that her 14-year-old daughter showed signs of a miscarriage, the affidavit states.

There is a transcript of the 911 call here, from the aunt on her way to the house.
http://edition.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/1210/02/ng.01.html

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: No, it was a fetus. My niece apparently had a miscarriage the other day and...

911 OPERATOR: So are you wanting your niece checked out? I`m not...

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: No! There`s a fetus. There`s a 5-month-old -- 5-month -- when a lady is pregnant, they are 5 months -- the baby is here and we don`t know what to do with it.

In addition to normal lochia (bleeding after birth) she was probably bleeding from lacerations caused by birth tearing and the scissors. So the 911 call is pretty strange, they were calling for the baby? "We don't know what to do with it".

After the aunt got there she saw it was a full term baby in the sink, the 911 call was very upsetting. The mother had called the girls aunt very upset (not 911) and the aunt was on the phone w/911 during the drive over and when she got to the house. She said "it is a full.."and was very upset.

DEFINITELY WOULD PUT A SPIN ON MY THINKING IF ANY TURNED OUT TO BE TRUE

Sorry for the caps, accidentally hit cap button.

Thanks for the video Manzana. That dude was cool! I'm totally subscribing to his channel! What we have heard from
the limited information that has come out is that the baby was fathered by another 14 year old. The video did make me hope even more that they press charges against the girl's mom. To see that trailer, and to reiterate the point of the guy on YouTube, there is NO WAY someone can hide a pregnancy/birth in a space that small.
The girl was committing this act in probably the only bathroom in the trailer and the mom didn't hear or notice anything? And other relatives even told the mom the girl was pregnant. Is this lady related to Cindy Anthony??? :waitasec:

I thought she said she she wore baggy clothes to conceal her pregnancy. Or am I mistaken?

You are NOT mistaken Jersey

According to the police affidavit 14 year old said she wore baggly, loose clothing in an attempt to hide her pregnancy from everyone.

2 quick stories...

I know somebody that got pregnant at 15 & delivered when she was 16 but had no idea she was pregnant. True story. She was skinny, smart in school, popular, religious, was in cheer & girl's soccer. She thought she was sick for about a week with an upset stomach. She ran to the bathroom right from the dinner table bc she had stomach pains, thought she had diarrhea. She pushed & a clump of blood (& a baby) fell into the toilet. This is no joke. She never gained any weight. Remembering back I think she weighed 110! She looked in the toilet bc there was so much blood so she screamed bc she saw bubbles. Her mom & dad ran into the bathroom after they heard her scream & picked her up off the floor bc she was near shock. There was an umbilical chord so her parents automatically swung into action. Her mother called 911 while her father reached into the toilet to pull her beautiful baby girl out. 911 explained how to clamp the chord & the ambulance was on the way. She truly had no idea. She named her 4.6 lb adorable baby girl Sydney (from the Land Down Under lmfao)! Sydney just graduated high school (with honors) with my oldest son!

Next story is me: I found out I was pregnant far into my pregnancy. I was jogging alot, was an exercise freak. I got about 5 miles from home & I started bleeding. Bad. I was dizzy & had to sit down, which is when I saw the blood running down my legs. An exbf who happens to be a cop & an emt was called to the scene bc I was fading in & out. He took me to the hospital & that's when I found out I was pregnant & in the middle if a threatened miscarriage. I was on bed rest for a month! I was 8 months pregnant wearing a bikini in Wildwood! You couldn't tell I was pregnant. I was 5'5 & weighed about 100 lbs. No joke. You could still see my abs & everything, no baby bump. Then as it got closer to my 9th month I started to gain weight. This was with my oldest, he was born healthy, adorable, full head of hair & beautiful skin, 7.13 lbs & 22.3/4 long! I kid you not.

So, sometimes we hear stories of heavy set women giving birth when they didn't know they were preggers but there's 2 stories above that were extremely skinny gals.

In this girl's situation, I think she knew bc she did say she wore baggy clothes so her mom didn't find out, or something like that. If only she'd have done the right thing...

You know I'm just throwing this out there. I know her boyfriend was 14, but is there a chance he is NOT the father? Will they do a DNA test to make sure? I'm just thinking of the mom's denial, the mom not wondering why her daughter was in the bathroom for two hours even though they were both home in that small trailer..it's almost like she didn't want anyone to find out.

Also, sice the boy is only 14 but assuming he is the father, then could he have a right to bring suit against this girl & her family?

How does somebody give birth to a child & then kill them during their first breaths? I understand the argument about the teenage mind & stuff but to put a towel between her teeth so she's not heard screaming in pain while giving birth and then to kill that child after the fact spells out premeditation. She didn't want to be heard. My God.

Her mother sounds in denial to this day. Claims 14 year old didn't know she was pregnant. Even though from the police interview it sure sounds that 14 year old knew she was pregnant and was covering it up.

From your link:
Teresa Goodson wouldn't specify when the tests were taken. She said she told her daughter to take tests to quash the pregnancy rumors.

THAT'S why she wanted her to take the test?? That makes no sense. What, was the girl gonna show the tests to everyone?

Excellent question. I would assume if they prove paternity he could sue for wrongful death. I know in Caylee's thread everyone hoped a dad would step forward and sue her. Based on seeing the trailer they live in, I'm not sure he could get much...

& I'm aware most babies don't cry right away without prompting by sucking the mucus out of their nose & mouth but damn. This is kinda crazy. She puts the baby in her room for a few days? That speaks to me of a mental illness of some kind. PTSD? I mean, she didn't pull a Casey & go bury her baby under a bush in an overgrown known to hold water & trash area. Nooo, instead she puts her son in her room under a dirty pile of clothes. Was she thinking it would just go away in the wash? What was she thinking? I mean, if she hid it from her mom for 9 months, why put the baby under her dirty pile of clothes knowing her mother washes her clothes? Weird...

This mom is obviously not playing with a full deck. Now she's even trying to backpedal and say C didn't even know she was pregnant. It's so Cindy Anthony-esque. If I thought my 14 year old daughter was pregnant I would stand there and watch her pee on the test.

Also, her aunts noticed she was gaining weight in the stomach area. It's also in the police affidavit. Denial. It ain't just a river in Egypt. However I am not sure that one can be charged for being in such denial.

I think it will likely be charges for neglect of C. Not sure if she could be charged with reckless endangerment for the baby or not. It will be interesting to see...

I think it would be hard to charge her with anything, because it sure sounds to me that she convinced herself that her daughter was not sexually active/pregnant. How could she possibly be charged with reckless endangerment of the baby when she didn't know there was a baby?

I don't know. I guess I am just assuming since they said prosecutors are deciding whether or not to charge her. They certainly haven't said much, but I figure they are putting the pieces together to get a really clear picture of everything....
