Around 5pm July 23rd, deputies responded to a call regarding a body located in a wooden lot off of Kings Highway in Port Charlotte. Due to the level of decomposition, we are unable to positively ID the female victim or determine cause of death. Cause of death is to be determined by the Medical Examiner. There is no threat to the community. Updates will be posted here as they are determined.

Cassie Carey, Lauren's sister posted a comment that Lauren's prior jobs were at Ruby Tuesday and Waffle House. Paraphrasing: These jobs were not kept secret, they just weren't viewed as being relevant. The two jobs were just to demonstrate that Lauren is a hard working young lady

I listened to the bf's interview and his tone for the situation came off so weird to me. JMO.

Indeed, quite frankly I think I'd sound more frantic and upset if I lost my slippers, never mind my girlfriend of 4 years.

1) If her phone records don't indicate that she'd made plans to meet a friend, where XYZ might have happened, why did someone publically say they think XYZ might have happened? Where did the scenario come from?
2) Whomever placed her shirt in the park was brazen. Please let there be video footage.
3) Why did the man who says he saw her the morning she went missing and says she asked him about apartments go public with that information?
4) I hope the P.I. is legit and can actually work miracles beyond what LE can. Her family does not need to be scammed. No offense intended to the P.I. or to legit P.I.s. I'm just worried about her family.

We still don't know if the shirt was hers. LE hasn't confirmed as of yet it belongs to her. Or they know by now and keeping it to themselves.

The interview with her boyfriend didn't made clear to me what her movements where that weekend. I would also like to know exactly when she stopped responding. (Friday night or saturday morning) The fact that the father was so quickly alarmed still bothers me, besides her missing ofcourse.

Lauren Dumolo Update:

Day 39 of Lauren missing. I know everyone is looking for answers and true updates on what is going on with Lauren's disappearance, the developments in the investigation, and any insight on where this is going. First I would like to say we are still very grateful for all of the support, messages, calls, comments, shares, prayers, searches and donations. It has been 39 long and agonizing days for our family and we just do not have all of the information yet, we still do not know what direction this is going, we do not 100% know if we are looking for Lauren alive or looking at the worst case scenario. I know everyone is saying "keep the faith" "stay hopeful" "pray for the best" and I can tell you personally some days are harder then others, our minds go in a million different directions all day long and we have mentally been preparing for the worst and hoping for the best. Obviously we all want the best outcome we want Lauren home, alive and unharmed. Mentally, physically and emotionally we are all drained and this has taken a toll on all of us. We want to wake up from this nightmare. We are doing our best to stay positive and we will continue to search, share, investigate, spread awareness and pray until the day we find Lauren. #BringLaurenHome

MOO, LE needs to look at Pena again. Maybe the park's video footage shows if he was there or not the day her shirt and purse showed up. Sounds very suspicious that her cell phone was not in her purse.

Cape Coral police asks for your help locating missing woman
The Cape Coral Police Department’s Investigative Services Bureau is asking for the public’s help and for ANY information that might help locate a missing woman.

Lauren Brittney Dumolo, 29, was last seen on June 19 at an apartment on the 4900 block of Coronado Parkway, and she was reported missing on June 21.

Her purse had been located by a citizen at Four Freedoms Park (4818 Tarpon Court) on June 19, a place she was known to visit often.

Her cell phone was also located in her apartment. Lauren’s status as a missing person was changed to a missing person endangered on June 24 as a result of the investigation. A Ping4alert activation (still active) was sent on June 24.

Lauren is a frequent walker in the area and does not own a car. She is 5’0’‘ and 110 pounds, with light brown hair (dyed blonde with brown roots) and brown eyes. When she was last seen on June 19th, she was wearing a T-shirt and shorts. She has several tattoos: “Namaste” on her right side, a symbol on her wrist, a “NY” symbol on her pelvis, and rosary beads on her ankle. Please take a moment to view the photos of Lauren below.

•her dad received a disturbing call from Lauren’s boyfriend. Paul said the boyfriend told him he went to work that day and when he returned to the apartment, Lauren was gone.
•her cell phone was discovered inside the apartment, but her purse was found that same day at nearby Four Freedoms Park, where she is known to visit with her mother who lives nearby
•On June 24, police deemed Lauren’s disappearance “suspicious” and the status was changed to missing person endangered
•LE confirmed several people have been interviewed, including the boyfriend
•LE would not comment if anyone interviewed was considered POI.
•On July 2, a shirt believed to be Lauren’s was found by the waterline at Four Freedoms Park

1) Do we know why she was believed to have just returned from the park when seen at her house?
2) There has been some mention that she possibly “relapsed” and would go to the park to use. I have seen no sources from MSM alleging drug use on the part of LD. Is this pure speculation? Grounded in FB rumor?

2) There has been some mention that she possibly “relapsed” and would go to the park to use. I have seen no sources from MSM alleging drug use on the part of LD. Is this pure speculation? Grounded in FB rumor?

1. Supposedly she was seen by some guy other than her BF walking back from that direction. Not sure how creditable this person is. There was no activity on her phone since Thursday the 18th. I have an unsettling feeling she was not seen on the morning if the 19th....

2. I am not sure about relapsing. I see her more trying to get her daughter back and wanted to get away from him and he knew it Whether she was using or not I don't think has anything to do with her missing. I think just the opposite.

Again. Something is very unsettling that her mother is silent. I have children and no matter what the situation is, if they went missing you better bet I would be all over. Motherly instinct.... Plus you can see the park from her mother's window which is just blocks from Lauren's. The mothers BF and Lauren's BF work together. I just think they too are to close not to know something.

Referring to Que 1:
I may be totally off, but maybe they believed she had been in the park because a) her purse was found there that day b) she often met her mother there c) a shirt that may belong to her was found there
And they’re going off the boyfriend’s statement of lady seeing her before he went to work at the apartment. ???

The boyfriend is the only person who stated he last saw her at the apartment. For me, I can not rule out if his statement is true or not.

I gathered she was a recovering addict from fb posts I read on her own profile.
