This is ALL we have from authorities.

IYO Where do you think the surveillance video is from? The city’s CCTV or Walmart or FLDOT, could be all I guess. Walmart would take a subpoena, though, right?

I just sent you a message about this. I don't know if what I found is related at all, but it's possible that this "surveillance footage" is from some private security system.

It COULD be her. But may not be. I hate to say it but bodies are found all the time down in South Florida. Very sad.

If I posted EVERY body they found in Florida alone I would be probably posting something EVERY DAY (or even more). I live in North Florida and more and more bodies are found EVERY day.

I'm guessing they have to determine the appropriate next of kin. DNA test for dad and whether the home is stable. The sisters also seem to want custody of him. Even grandad was talking about taking him in.

Lucky little boy -- best I can tell and hoping I'm correct, the family sounds like a loving and caring group of folks, and they all want to care for little Kamdyn! I know he wonders about his mom, but it does sound like he'll be in good shape if she isn't found, or until she is found and she is okay, or if the news -- when/if ever we get it -- is the worst. Not all children have caring close relatives.

Sadly, I agree with all of this. It doesn't feel like a "date" or even a paid escort experience. I just don't think she would have taken her son with her for either of those.
This feels very much like a situation in which she had been groomed and thought there was an opportunity for long term stability, or she was there sell something or get something to sell for a good sum. Just my opinion. This whole situation makes my heart bleed for single mothers everywhere that have to put themselves at risk to attempt a stable life for their child. I hope that wherever she is she knows that Kam will be well loved and cared for.

Same here -- I feel that she may have thought she had a job offer or at least, a situation as you described, and she was either desperate, charmed by a charlatan, or both.
Hoping she is okay, but if so, I think she'd be going crazy to find her little boy.

Never though of that angle, sounds plausible. Now, her truck — or friend’s truck hasn’t been established — is in police lock up. So, if the truck were to be her living quarters, it’s gone. So, back to Walmart. Maybe she didn’t abandon the truck, many people use the parking lot as a pseudo RV park; and Walmart allows it. Maybe she left momentarily with the intent of returning, but after police found Kam and then, the truck. She was left homeless. Just a theory, .

Well just in the last week, two bodies were located according to media reports...one in West Palm Beach, and the other in Port Charlotte.....both locations nearer to Hollywood than Cross Bayou ( I think), and that's only deaths that have been reported......
I doubt it is Leila....hope not, but very sad for the person's family.

I spent a whole hour finding the right words to describe a movie: Hot Girls Wanted and my entire draft disappeared. Anyway, it is a verry informative documentary, and because of all the aspects of this case my mind went to the ads posted online aimed at girls of all varieties, shapes and sizes for amateur online . (The ads dont say come do with us, obviosly) Many of the girls come from average backgrounds, they can make a few thousand dollars and the girls already in it, speak with the new recruits, and that sets them at ease. Amd then I thought, that was a tremendous leap I made- how convenient for a person who caused her harm, here I am considering the worst of her. If someone disappeared Leila- her child is wondering around FL. etc It is easier to look away from the people closest to her who are/were most likely to cause her harm.
Where is your ex gf, oh idk i think they found her son in Fl, idk i havent seen her in a while or, where is yours friend Leila- no clue, they found her kid in Fl, she must be there too, look there, away from me.
so my questions are:
Where was Leila the night she disappeared?
Who was there with her? What do they say?
Where was her boyfirend & ex boyfriend the night she disappeared? What do the surveillance videos at WalMart tell us about who was driving her vehicle when it was parked? WalMart has pretty good surveillance video.
Where did the truck travel in the area? License plate readers seemed plentiful when I lived in FL. I was always paying a toll to enter a road/hwy in FL & they sent me bills b/c the tag of my vehicle was logged when my sunpass wasnt loaded with money to pay the fee.

I keep adding to draft I started this morning, it is getting out of hand lengthy wise, my apologies. I have a lot of thoughts on this case. I was a young single mother once, strikes a cord.

2. was there a more recent residence?
3. The Aunt/relative just put her and her child out without notifying child services?
4. The Aunt/relative wasn't the last to see her when she made her leave the residence, was she?

It also says in the last thread that she had a drug charge in Cordova? I've done searches and can't find anything on these charges.
For those that are savvy with finding this sort of thing can you please check because for example if she was caught with weed that is a far cry from crack cocaine.

Walker County, Ala., documents on court proceedings from arrests were posted in .pdf format on previous thread.

• She was arrested for felony possession, specifically Meth, and lessor charge for weed. She was arrested on 16 September 2019, and released the same day.
• Address on file is Muscle Schoals, Ala.
• However, it is speculated that she was living in or near Dawsonville, Ga., when she left.

I really think Leila didn't have anyone she could trust. That is very very sad. So she put her trust in men (whether from a dating site and/or a place like marketplace). I am leaning more towards the fact that she was selling something OR a man offered her a VERY GOOD deal (like an apartment or job offer) and she couldn't refuse. Sad that she was even put in this situation to begin with.

Also when you are LOW on money (and it sounds like she was) you will be willing to accept an offer like a good deal on a job, good deal on an apartment or even a good deal on something she was trying to sell. She had a child and NEEDED money. Her child was probably the reason she ACCEPTED this offer from this person.

I know this because I am not very trusting either. I have spent many years myself being naive and trusting other men (even men that I didn't know very well that yes I met on dating apps online). I was lucky though and didn't meet anyone shady.

I have even moved in with men (I didn't know very well) because I had NO OTHER place to go. Sounds like she was in the SAME predicament. From what I am seeing she really had nowhere to go.

Unfortunately for Leila she ended up UNLUCKY.

SOME people can keep things private from family AND friends. So she may not have had friends she felt like she could talk to or trust. I say that because I am that way. I don't put much trust in my family and many of my friends. I still have family and friends that LOVE me though. I just keep things to myself. Maybe she was that way. Doesn't mean she doesn't love them.

Sounds to me like she was very private and didn't tell family and friends many things. Doesn't make her a bad person though.

I will admit I have naive over the years and put MORE trust in boyfriends, etc. Wondering if that is the way she is too instead of putting trust in family and friends? Don't know. Just speculation. MOO

You make a good point here -- I tend to hold things in myself.
It could be that she just wanted some time away with her son and her new "friend" or new job or whatever pulled here there, and she saw no reason to tell anyone that she was leaving. Understandable.
