Summary:
Leslie Fistel was last seen by his family on or around May 1st 1981 at his home in Dania Beach, Broward County, Florida. Due to errors by law enforcement, Fistel was not officially considered a missing person until 2024, over forty years after he went missing.

Circumstances of Disappearance:
In May 1981, Fistel got into an argument with his mother. After the argument, he went to his bedroom and climbed out the window. He was never seen or heard from again.

Additional Details:
Leslie’s family attempted to report his disappearance on multiple occasions in the years following 1981. They hired several private investigators who all came up empty handed in their search. A missing persons report was finally filed for Fistel on June 7, 2024. Sadly, his father and mother both passed away in the late 1990s.

I would assume his family has given DNA as well as reporting him missing. It doesn't seem very likely he's been missing voluntarily all these years, or that he died at some point under another name in more recent years, unless he took the argument very seriously. He probably didn't survive 1981 or much past it. I wonder if he'd ever vanished through his window before like that?
