So if we know where the car is why are we looking for it???

I think they want to know its exact positions from 8pm the previous night.

'There may have been some evidence he was trying to charge his phone...would have been minutes. Not crucial.'

Wow. Very well-spoken police chief.

Police following 2 lines:

Abduction
Wandered off

5yr old sis up all night and it has been difficult to get info from her. Trying to 'work thru' timeline. Difficult to match up child version with caretaker's...'at some point he went out and washed some clothes'

:(

Also he got gas to. LE said they are obtaining surveillance videos. The gas station and laundromat.

Some keynotes I heard from the press conference:

Mother left for work around 8:00pm which was the last time she saw the missing child

At some point during the night the boyfriend went to a gas station and laundromat.

It's unclear if Lonzie was secured in the car. There was a carseat in the vehicle but they are not sure if he was buckled into it or not.

It's unclear how long the boyfriend was in the apartment before the 5 year old left the car

When he came out of the apartment and headed back to the car with the 5 year old he could see it driving away from the parking lot

Officers arrived within 2 minutes of the 911 call and found the vehicle in under 20 minutes

JSO believes they are investigating an abduction and treating it as such. They believe if the child wandered away he would have been found by now. The air search is no longer taking place but dive teams have searched bodies of water near by.

The 5 year old has been interviewed and was cooperative but was very tired and hungry. They are letting her rest and CPS plans to conduct a forensic interview this afternoon.

One of the reporters asked about the lack of billboard Amber Alerts showing on the way to presser. Chief said that's a shame but didn't seem to know why they weren't showing.

I caught that too.... Washing cloths. who takes a baby out at 2am in only a diaper. If the car was seen running at 8pm earlier, is it possible that they forget the baby in the car seat earlier in the day and he died? Then they have to figure out how to cover this up or they lose the 5 yr old. Just throwing that out there.

You know, if police found the car abandoned and empty within 20 mins, I wonder why they suspected bio-dad or another family member might have taken Lonzi, for so long?

Wondering if boyfriend suggested that to police.

The temperature yesterday between 6:00pm and 12:00am shows a high of 91F and low of 79F.

too much of a coincidence that the bf goes into charge phone and someone is lurking about and see a running car and takes it. Dumps it close by and no kid.

Who takes a car to drive it for a few minutes then leave it. Makes no sense.

Does the sim card in a cell phone hold all the data? could someone swap out a sim card and then it LE took that phone, would it show normal calls, but a call to someone to "get the car now", could that information be held on another sim card?

There's nothing to put on the billboard, is the problem. An amber alert requires a description of the car, and they've recovered the car with no child.

So there's nothing that would be helpful to put on the billboard.

Well, where the car was found, there most likely was a car parked to for the person to take the child away in another car. Hopefully there will be tire tracks that will help ID that car down the road.
