When LE says that he is steering them away from finding Lonzie, it makes me think he parked the car far from where he dumped Lonzie and close enough for him to walk back home. JMO
Agree with you, Matou, for the reason you stated and because of the specific areas near where car was found. The last place I would try to hide a body is near San Jose Boulevard.
I know I've missed some posts, but I haven't read any that describe the area as I think of it.
There is a striking dichotomy between Old Kings Road (Ravenswood) and San Jose Boulevard (2 blocks west of where the car was found).
San Jose Blvd. is a long tree-lined road (4 lanes in the area of car dump). following the St. John's River (mostly 1-8 blocks off the river) as the river runs south of the city. The most expensive real estate in Jacksonville is along the east and west banks of the river south of the city. Riverfront homes here are often more expensive than oceanfront properties in Jacksonville Beach and Ponte Vedra.
Slightly to the north of where the car was found are the San Country Club (in top 2 of city's clubs) and the Bolles School (in top 2 in state, Jeb Bush's son boarded there). The residential areas near San Jose Blvd are mostly quite nice and it's considered a very safe, desirable area.
People get outdoors and walk and jog along San Jose Blvd. In most areas near San Jose, strangers would be noticed and probably caught on security tapes.
Old Kings Road is a few blocks east of San Jose and runs near railroad tracks. It is a high density area that has a lot of declining multi-family units. Because of the density and later hours of a lot of young people living there, I don't think you could count on being unseen.
On a different topic, I am confused why some think LE knows who WE spoke by phone to that day/night. I thought that throw-away phones are common among drug users/sellers and prevent LE from tracking who owns the phone. Is that the case or can LE now identify owners of throw-away phones?
